Bad luck....Didn't you know that his shows were all sold out?
Oh, I don't know. I find him quite soothing. He doesn't have any political axes to grind; he doesn't try to be profound; he doesn't add 'yeah?' to every point he's trying to make. After listening to an hour of Oli Dugmore doing all that, Andrew comes as something of a relief.First time i've listened to Castle in a while. He's so cringe, it's embarassing. He's like a vanilla tennis coach at some run down David Llyod health club somewhere in the home counties. No wait, that's what he actually is! Still, I don't think he's inherently evil in anyway, so I suppose he can be forgiven. Or maybe he is the banality of evil and the devil incarnate. It's hard to tell. God, I'm so discombobulated ... I think I need to go to James' book tour when it comes near me, that will re-calibrate my chakra's.

Hope you gave Paul Brand a chance too?Fair point. Bland and non-shouty is a good hangover cure on a Saturday morning.
I think Andrew did well not to end up screaming down the phone at Hassan, a fanatical ranter who simply refused to engage in reasonable discussion and responded to every question with another question.
I think Andrew is just trying to protect his own mental health by not getting emotionally involved in really contentious issues. He sounded really exhausted this morning. It can't be easy trying to deal with fanatical callers who have a rigid agenda. It must be draining emotionally?
According to the Other Place, Hassan was calmly putting his opinion across and had Andrew on the ropes. That is just a bit frightening.I think Andrew did well not to end up screaming down the phone at Hassan, a fanatical ranter who simply refused to engage in reasonable discussion and responded to every question with another question.

I doubt if he'd be allowed on, although the four politicians would be used to arguing with nutters. But I don't think Vorderman would cope.Would have been perfect for one of the 10am slots this week
