We were recently discussing the demise of the Twitter little bird logo. Can you remember who / what else used to have a little bird logo ? Clue: It concerns radio !

Where did this discussion take place?
The Gracie Fields Wing at Brinsworth, over sherry & bourbon biscuits?

Re - the bird logo, Steve Allen was fond of a Lyle&Scott argyle sweater back in the day
😁

I bet Andy Barber will have been blocked by now for daring to say such a thing!
That sums James up and why he has come to a dead end. You can disagree with people without resorting to name calling and abuse.

The problem that James has is that all his blocking and name calling means that he is trapped with his 1 million Twitter followers and cannot change. He has to appeal to them so they now control him. No wonder he is so miserable....

I was listening to a podcast of Steve Allen today which had me laughing out loud.
He was talking about gyms and all the people walking towards the gym and he was walking alongside them, then they'd go to the gym while he would veer off to Gregs 🤣
The other that had me laughing was some cruise he'd been on and when they were due to leave, they couldn't because someone had lost the keys to start the ship. You know how he waffles on ..and the delay while they tried to locate the keys 🤣...he really is a one off is Steve.

Don't remember that. Far more recent. A smilar bird to the one Twitter used. I thought everyone would guess straight away!!! If nobody has guessed it by lunchtime, I will reveal all (not that 'all', missus!!!) this afternoon.

Apologies. I forgotten to 'reveal all' this afternoon!

Anyway, doesn't anybody remember the old Capital Radio logo 'In tune with London'

I think it used to mainly be in blue.

It wouldn't be hard to put every show of Steve's that is available into an AI thingy and have it spit out randomly generated shows based on his waffle. I'd try and do it myself if I could be arsed and had a fast enough computer.

But radio is essentially aural, not visual. We see logos for TV stations and internet sites but radio's ident. is jingles and signature tunes.

We could have a 'most heard' compilation: His mum getting drunk at Christmas; The Irish version of the 12 Days of Christmas; The plot of Went the Day Well?; Shoplifters in M&S; terrible holiday in 'Lanzagrotty'. The list goes back years. 😄

Except if they want to introduce you to a new station that you probably have never heard of, they will probably use visual advertising initially. Think of the number of times you have seen a tv news bulletin where somebody is being interviewed with the LBC logo behind them. All part of reinforcing the brand into your mind!

Didn't do much good for me, I only found out a few months ago LBC stood for 'Leading Britains Conversation', I thought it was 'London Broadcasting Company'. Makes more sense now ... God I'm thick sometimes. They rebranded right? Must have been years ago and passed me by.
