Hate pointing fingers at a new mam bad and all as Lauren is in general but that is absolutely bizarre. She said herself she doesn't see herself as the most maternal. Strikes me as the type to want to prove that life doesn't change etc. Madness though. Stay at home. Get a takeaway and have a glass of wine. Tbh I'd be too nervous to even have a few drinks with a premature baby in the house that is 2 weeks old. She's not even due for another month!

There’s just something not right with her. I don’t think she was too keen to be a mother to begin with, so preeclampsia + premature delivery + c section must be a nightmare for her, definitely going to affect the bonding process. I don’t think it’s normal to squeeze into a pair of shorts and drink cocktails 2 weeks after giving birth, it doesn’t exactly scream maternal.

I remember she posted a throwback outfit pic from last year saying excited to wear my summer outfits soon, she couldn’t wait to get back to her size 6, bump free self and pose.

I had very similar experience to her and was totally wiped out the two weeks after, she's either putting on a front for the gram or super human 😂

That's very strange behaviour... 2 weeks post partum myself and my husband were tag teaming each other just to get through the night feeds. Any ounce of energy I had was spent washing clothes, cleaning and sterilising the endless amount of bottles!! Besides that you couldn't tear me away from my baby. Very odd.

That baby should still be inside her belly and she off swanning around town posing up a storm. What’s wrong with ordering in a takeaway and spending time together that way. These insta ones are very weird and detached. That small baby needs her mammy with her for the next while. Just goes to show you their priorities

Having had preeclampsia I was still like the Mitchelin man 2 weeks after the baby was born, swollen legs, feet that looked deformed and generally still feeling shook so it’s mad to see her out and about looking like nothing has changed. New babies particularly preterm ones need lots of skin to skin contact in the first few weeks and date nights can wait in my vet humble opinion

There's no way she was out for the night drinking 2 weeks post emergency c section and pre-eclampsia, like no way! I say John John had to take 20 pics of her in her shorts, 1 cocktail and maybe 6 bites of a dinner if she can stomach it. I say she was running home after an hour! She's just not showing us the reality! Spend the hour cuddling your baba Lauren, you don't have to prove anything to anyone! Sinéad de buitléir is honestly the most refreshing!

But she should show the reality. Because she is fooling no one. It's making her look so self absorbed

Literally no one gives a tit if she went for a cocktail. It's this person's that they have to live and post and filter. Upload in this constant bleeping colour hue, everything colour coordinated or zero colour entirely. It's bleeping weird and it's bleeping transparent.

Hilarious 😂

Genuine curiosity here as someone who hasn’t had a baby. Why do people think she must be raging to have had a c-section? I personally don’t have any desire to push a baby out - do most people want that experience ? I know it’s a surgery & there are pros and cons

The recovery is difficult in terms of pain, but I have friends who had natural births and had 3rd degree tears and had to sit on ice packs for two weeks. There's no easy way, the scar isn't a big deal it's not that big but I imagine as she's quite image conscious she might not be happy. I found the pre eclampsia worse to be honest. Also an emergency c section is harder mentally than a planned one. I asked for a planned one and they refused.

There are pros and cons to both ways and unfortunately people don't get the choice as with Lauren here.
I think it's more it doesn't fit into her aesthetic! For some people (not every case) a c section can lead to the mammy pouch with never leaves.

I’ve had 2 c sections one emergency and other elected- I was very lucky to have a great recovery after both and luckily not left with a pooch. However my consultant was extremely insistent that I do as little as possible after both sections, very house work, no lifting anything at all and definitely not to be out and about anywhere busy in the 6 weeks after! Even on my second section I wouldn’t have risked going to a bar or restaurant in case anyone bumped into me or I tripped or anything and certainly didn’t risk having a drink at all in case it would impair my judgement and I’d hurt myself. A c section is MAJOR surgery, I’m by no means saying you can’t move from your bed but you most certainly need to be careful and not take any risks. Lauren would do well to reassess her priorities right now and look after herself to make sure she doesn’t injure herself and end up back in hospital with her new baby at home without her mother

Couldn't agree any more!

Also Lauren girl, where are your c section stockings? After having pre-eclampsia and all. Best to mind yourself.
