I've just ironed the uniforms for the week. It only takes 20 mins. I couldn't be done with drying and ironing uniforms on a Monday morning (or any morning, come to think of it).

She stayed in bed. kids got themselves up, sorted and went to school whilst she laid in bed being lazy
She let them go on there own! Yet last week she said it 30 min drive if this is correct how ling is it walk! Ffs alfie only 9. Now she off swimming ffs they will need to empty the pool once she has been in it.

Walking which I’m not against but at 9 and just started a new school and not to have walked with him is really mean in my opinion. It’s pissing down in Manchester today as well. Poor kid will be sat in wet clothes coz I bet he didn’t have a coat on

Right, hear me out. Isn't 9 (also, only just 9!) too young to walk to school alone? Or am I just over protective. (I have been told in the past I'm over protective). I would worry about other people, there's a scary world out there!
My 12 year old gets himself ready for school now, but I'm still up with him everyday! As he's in a special needs school, he gets transport, so I don't have to worry about him getting there and back.

I think it depends on how far away the school is. If it's a 3 minute walk, It's not uncommon for parents to allow their kids to walk to and from school. Anything longer than 5 minutes I would say go with them until mature enough to walk alone. A is very young for his age and not the brightest so I personally would be walking him to school if he were my child.
I know school runs are a bit of pain at times but I quiet enjoy the quality time with my child. Gives a chance to talk about our days. We also eat at the dinner table and gives us opportunity to share anything on our minds. It's sad that she doesn't have any quality time with her kids and claims to miss them.
