So they clearly didn't do the sensible thing and take a builder and architect round before they made the offer on the house.....now they're discovering things may not be possible. Removing the chimney breast sounds so risky, the builder clearly didn't want to go near it. Now they have an expert.....I fear this is sinking them into more and more debt.
Why on earth is Warren waving that wallpaper scraper around everywhere!!
Why would you want a panelled door on a pantry, she may as well leave the door off if everyone is going to see what's in there.
Everything seems to be a half arsed job. Painting over door frames which really needed to be sanded down, the gloss just looks thick and it emphasises the defects in the frames.
I feel for them when they move in, poor kids will have no space and are likely to be living in a building site. X

Can you imagine the dust and mess that taking out a chimney breast top to bottom is going to create and they are having to move in there on the 2nd March! They are so clueless it's scary. Why are they removing skirting boards? Why are they changing the pantry door? I'm fetching the popcorn as this 'renovation' is pure car crash entertainment.

Warren and that wall paper scraper made me lol!!! You need to get the proper tools mate!! He’s so cringe, the way he looks into the camera, what a Ming!

Doors are hard to move and hang, they need planing and sanding, you can’t just swap them. And the glass door is on the kitchen to let light into the hall way. And when the door is open through the window into the kitchen, a solid door is going to block the window!

My husband is a builder and he said the chimney removal is a huge job and they could come across so many complications. A lot of builders wouldn’t want that kind of job as it’s really tricky. And any decent builder will have work booked up for months so she’s obviously found some cowboy!

I’m fed up with her and her bloody pantry! Get over it love. It’s a tiny little storage room.

She must be so stressed. This isn’t going to be easy at all!

Does that glass door actually fit? Since I think you find pantry doors are usually built smaller. I can see the train wreck of Warren trying to make it fit! It may look crooked emphasised by the glass panels too.

I dread to think of the crap from a chimney. I had a ceiling collapse that wasn't pretty!

Are they having the entire chimney stack kitchen to attic removed? That will be years and years of brick dust, soot and other nasty things you don’t want to breathe in released into their house, coating everything.
Imagine if they had to do a party wall agreement, I’d expect they’d just do it anyway!
As for getting the chimney expert in next week, hope they are properly insured. And roping in as many people as possible...sounds like a mate of a mate knows someone who will do it on the cheap and they need extras to move bricks.
Would be devastating for their house to collapse in some way. Surely they’d need a surveyor or someone to come and inspect that it meets regulations?

Yep and let's hope they realise they need to support the stack once the breast is gone and there will also need repairs to two storeys of flooring. I wonder if wozza is going to be the plastering ?. It is a huge job and I seriously hope that it is a professional doing the work as this is the structure of their house they are messing with which could have catastrophic consequences.

They're in a semi or a terraced arent they? I'm no builder and don't know my stuff, but surely this could affect the adjoining houses if it all goes pear shaped. When we altered the structure of our house with a conservatory, we were required to inform the mortgage lender, it may have just been a clause in our mortgage but I doubt they've even checked things like that, or home insurance.
I cant see how this will be sorted by 2 March when they need to be in. I wonder if their chimney expert is even an expert at all x

And now wants to move the radiator in the hall...more expense! Not such a big job apparently....well it depends on your pipes! Plus the cost of a new radiator. They really need to pick a job and do that first. Make sure the place is waterproof and warm and clean, yeah do the kitchen but don't be knocking out chimneys. Stop trying to turn the house into something it's not unless you have a money tree in the garden! Which if they did, they wouldn't have bought that house!

Why does she want to move the radiator? She's so bloody fussy about such small pointless things like thinking all new skirting boards in the entire house, her bloody pantry with that window she doesn't want. How much food are they going to store?

I mean they have stripped wallpaper off and just painted an imperfect wall. I just don't get it to be honest

Gah! She's put the hashtag "mudroom" on this post ? they're not in some stately home ffs! They're driving me mad ?

But it's ok guys...she's put a bit of lino in her pantry so it's looking better?. Do you think she is focusing on that bloody pantry as its the only cupboard she feels she can do something about?? We moved into a fixer upper and the last thing I worried about was a bloody cupboard! I would probably have taken the shelves out and used it as storage for shoes coats, Hoover, ironing board etc. No one needs a bloody pantry in a small house!

My house was in the same position in fact the previous owner had removed all plaster of the walls of one bedroom so it was bare brick. So needed doing asap but also need central heating. That's what we focused on initially.

The very first thing was a big clean. I was cleaning the house the day before moving and the moving day itself. So I knew it was clean and had our 'fragrance'if that makes sense. Not that I am a Zoflora addicts just want to clarify!

They really are deluded. I still have thinks I want doing but life got in the way. Hey we will get there!

Skirting boards are the least of their worries!
As for the radiator, lots are suggesting a cover because for the price of less than £70 they can make it look good and have a place to put stuff, key bowl, plant etc.
The hooks could easily be used somewhere else, remove them one by one if necessary.
Mudroom for heavens sake, that’s neither a mudroom nor a utility!
I wonder whether she wants rid of the rad because she wants a monks bench or a chest storage unit for shoes etc.
Looking at the pipes and knowing the age of the property I’d reckon they haven’t been touched since it was built. Rad cover on, box in vertical pipes if necessary.
These can be small jobs, depends on the property they are in. They are going to find problem after problem since they have so many little jobs going on.

I'm sorry but their house isn't big enough to use a room as a 'mudroom' why do they try to pretend to be the type of family they are not. They don't have a big income and that's okay, many families don't. She wont have a house like Katie Ellison or Kate murnane, it's a very small house which they need to make workable for them, not try and create bits and pieces of other you tubers houses!!!
Moving a rad is a big job, we were told in our old house that we couldn't replace a single rad with a double as the boiler couldn't handle it. They're moving from one job to another and it's getting more and more cringe to see.
As everyone has said, I thought they bought this house as they couldn't afford anything else, now they're acting like they've got endless amounts of money....makes no sense.

Why is she worrying about stupid pointless things?! That pantry she is obsessing over and saying she doesn’t like the window? For goodness sake that would be bottom of my priority list. Worrying about skirting boards but they don’t have anywhere for their children to sit and eat a meal? They are totally out of their depth and I feel stressed out just watching! Don’t get me starting on moving the chimney... WTF! Why is nobody close to them knocking their heads together!

I’m half way through their recent “renovation” vlog.
And I’m bored.

Who’s arsed about a pantry?
Surely the rest of the house needs cleaning and working on.

I’m confused about the kitchen, I thought they couldn’t afford one? Now they can?

I couldn’t cope with so many jobs being done at once, they should focus on one job at a time. It’s like they are in a rush to do everything, It’s a recipe for disaster.
