I get that toddlers would make stupid choices for clothes (my own was insisting on a t shirt two days ago. It was snowing.) but Sienna is 8. My 8yo wouldn’t even think to wear shoes like that/school shoes to play in. It’s common sense by that age to wear suitable clothes and footwear.

What she needs to learn is that kids can be independent and as a parent you can still have control. With toddlers you give choices. Pick 2 decent and somewhat matching outfits and let them pick one, that way they are still in control to an extent and so are you! Its basic parenting. Then same with snacks etc.
 
“My 3 little wildlings”??? Really? More like “my 3 kids constantly handed their iPads and let outdoors once a week, which is then documented for Instagram.”

It makes me so cross that she proclaims to be such an outdoors lover for kids and yet they are so rarely out 😬

The issue for me is, Kerry spends so much on tit they don't need. Reusable cotton pads, coffee pods, mountains of cereal, b&m tit. Then there's the work on the house. All while the kids need basic necessities. I mean if she openly said we're struggling for money and are cutting back, fair dos. But she portrays herself as someone very different.

Personally I would rather spend on my kids than myself. My two have lovely clothes, mine are alright dont get me wrong, but I just prefer buying them clothes and shoes!

Wildlings! I’d say they’re wild in behaviour and not in environment. Same as other influencers describe their kids as feral (which I also hate).

Going to a playground every now and then isn’t being a ‘wildling’ - it’s being a child. It’s not like they’re out in the woods building dens and foraging all week. Ridiculous.
 
My 2 girls are older now so they have school shoes and trainers.
When they were younger they had choice of 4 shoes for winter

School, boots, trainers and wellies. Possibly pair patent or sparkly party shoes from a supermarket.
Summer they had crocs for round garden or beach.
White sandals that could be worn uniform or sunmer dresses.
Canvas clarks doodles or canvas style trainers like lily kellies.

My smallest daughter is nearly 3.
Brought her a hardly used bundle of shoes from a school mum which included Clarke patent shoes. Crocs. Start right sandals and next sparkly party shoes.
She has 2 pairs wellies.
She has 2 pairs matalan trainers.

A lot of the super markets sell lovely mix and match clothing sets so 3 leggings then 3 tops that match or coordinate with each other
Thats what done with little ones building capsule wardrobe off seasonal appropriate clothes that fit
Sainsbury and morrisions have some lovely stuff this season including shoes.
 
Yes kerry could buy a couple of items or a couple of pairs of shoes each week with her shop.
Even aldi sell kids clothes and even shoes at times.
Or if she changed to shop at any of the other supermarkets, like on weeks she doesn't need to spend as much on food if they still have a lot left from the week prior why doesn't she shop somewhere else that week and pick up a t shirt , leggings and a pair of shoes for one of them 🤷‍♀️
Or just buy the clothes to get delivered like normal people. She must see what they are lacking.

I thought this whole YouTube thing was like extra cash/ pocket money for kerry as Warrens pay covers all the household bills. Clearly this is not the case!!
Then stop spending and look at ways to increase your income ie- an actual job that pays better.

But a real job wouldn’t let her be home with her kids..... who are all out of the house 3 days a week....
 
I know, she'd rather be sitting at home, watching YouTube videos and drinking cwofee. 🙄
She could be so much more productive with her life. You see how much she has to get involved in the "renovations" she should put that effort into a normal job, even if it was an evening supermarket job for a few nights a week.

But no. Kerry having a normal job? No don't be silly 🤪
 
Thing is if kerry spent her money properly she could honestly make it last. If she bought decent quality stuff for Sienna that was actually nice (and not bargain bin ala her Joules haul) she would only have to really spend the money once over as she could pass it down to the younger 2.
 
Just catching up with the days antics......just to say, the children are bored because they have no skills to entertain themselves when they haven’t got activities around. This is Kerry’s fault because she’s always micromanaging their time.
I have a degree in child development so I like to think I know what I’m on about, children being ‘bored’ and having ‘nothing to do’ is the BEST thing. It helps develop their imagination, resilience and independence. Children don’t get bored, maybe one’s Sienna’s age may say it but they don’t have a true understanding (my 3 year old went through a stage of saying I’m bored, but when I unpicked it, she’d heard Peppa Pig say it and had no idea what it meant!! 😂) So I can’t believe for one second that Aria and Roma were bored.
If you want to go and see your mum Kezza, go and bloody see her. You don’t need to justify that by making up some crap about the kids being bored.

Also, bare foot on a skate ramp?! Yeah, cause ‘I don’t care that my children aren’t dressed appropriately’ but I will care when she slices her foot open on broken glass or worse!

I always see the way kids are dressed as a reflection on their parents, so while I let mine be independent in what they chose to wear I still encourage them so they don’t leave the house looking like they’ve been dragged through a hedge! Sienna looks ridiculous dressed in the same style as Roma and Aria - come on let’s call a spade a spade Kerry you’re just lazy and those kids rule you, you have no authority over them and that’s why they look the way they do.

But Kerry says her priority isn’t how her kids look 🙄

I disagree with her - your children ARE a reflection of you as a parent. I would be mortified if my child went out all the time looking scruffy and unkept in ill fitting clothes and inappropriate shoes. I’m all for giving kids choice (and I do) but I take pride in them looking presentable, even when they are in play clothes for nursery (which I always get either secondhand in bundles from marketplace/eBay or from supermarkets when there are offers on). You don’t have to spend lots of money for your children to look presentable.

Kids dressed scruffy is always been my pet hate- it’s by no means the childrens fault :cry:

clothes don’t have to be expensive. I know not the best quality but Primark short sleeve tops are like £1.30 each long sleeve £2 each packs of leggings are no more than £5 for a pack of 2

for £20 Each girl she could get a half decent set of clothes that actually fit and go together.

my eldest daughter is 9 (10 this year) and she would refuse to wear “babyish” clothes . She’s very into fashion. Youngest is 5 and has additional needs and she’s a nightmare to dress she only likes certain fabrics, either has to wear socks inside out, none at all (even with trainers which makes me feel sick) or buy her ones from specialist sites that cost an arm and a leg:( so her wardrobe despite being full of lovely clothes, very little of it gets worn sadly. So I pass a lot of it on to friends.

I don’t know how she can say she doesn’t care how her kids dress... because for me it’s a top priority along with feeding them
