Katy Perry

After the jlo tour disaster you'd think they would sell this tour with affordable tickets and push the old songs. $50 a ticket, no vip tat nonsense and she will sell out.

But everything her team has done this year has been a disaster bar the VMA show, so why now would they start doing sensible things.

Katy Perry is fabulous as a throwback.

She got #6 in the UK album charts which isn't bad but then so did Rita Ora and the next week her album was nowhere to be seen in the top 100. According to some fan pages, she cut the CD price in half from £14 to £7 on her site which helped a little but not much.

She still seems to think she is the huge A+ lister she was in the early to mid-00s and is acting that way. In her defence, she might finally wise up when she sees ticket sales are low and rebrand it but time will tell.

I'm not sure if her confidence after not having a hit single for 10 years is impressive or insanity.

The revenue for the Newcastle witness date should have been a wake up.

She needs to do what Avril did on her last tour, tickets about the same price as a mid meal out and focus on the throwback stuff. Although Avril's new stuff was actually decent.

This outfit 😂😂😂

Seems odd she's not announcing any NZ dates when that's the only country she's getting top 40's singles thesedays. Is she banking on those couple of thousand people flying to Australia?

I don't really know much about NZ other than Katy Perry is still a thing there in 2024 and their house prices are the most insane out of the whole world.

The Billboard position is in and like the UK, she got #6. She did 48,000 altogether with 37,500 pure sales. Smile, her last album that was seen as a huge flop got #5 and sold over 50,000 it's first week, yet fans still think this is a win for some reason.

And she’s put way more effort into promo this time around, making this an even bigger failure imo.

She's aiming for #143 for week 2 once all the physical pre sale numbers are gone.

She might just get it in the UK with how the steaming numbers are falling each day.

The midweek chart position for the new album in the UK is...114.

Her "Teenage Dream" album is at No. 56.

I think even her fans are finally holding up the flag and admitting it's a huge dump but rather than blame her, it's misogyny, stream bots working against her (even though many of them admitted to using them themselves to get her numbers up). I even saw someone say they were working on an expose of GaGa and Taylor as they both plotted against her because they were jealous of her stealing their thunder.

2nd week on the UK charts has her way down at #162 with 1,295 units (143 physical sales) which is even worse than many thought it would be as she released the digital version of the album with 8 live songs from her Rock In Rop performance.

Can't confirm as I haven't seen it myself but according to Twitter, it's not even in the Billboard Top 200 for midweek so that's an even bigger drop than the UK charts if true.

The latest stats have the album at #76 on the Billboard 200, down from #6, so it's not out of the 200 like some suggested but still not great. The UK charts are tomorrow...sorry later today and she will likely be out of the 200 altogether.

Many fans seem to be climbing mountains to blame everyone but her on how badly it has flopped. I have lost count of the number of her fans I have seen say the charts are just for new artists and are irrelevant yet in the next breath, talk about how deluxe versions and other variants will hopefully get her a higher position. I'd see their point if the likes of Taylor and Beyonce who have been out just as long as she has were flopping too but they don't and usually sell well.
