In the recent vlog she says how she'd had her ears pierced at the local chemist aged 1 (basically she thinks they were pierced a bit too high, I'd say marginally so) and she says she's pretty sure you can't pierce babies' ears anymore. Well Kathleen. Unless the law changed but I used to work for Claire's in my 20s and you could pierce babies as young as 18 weeks... The law said that after the baby had their 16w jabs (I think they get quite a few at that stage, 3 different vaccines or so) and the parents waited 2 weeks for baby's immunity to build after the jabs, you could pierce. And I did pierce many a baby's ear - also in my area there was at the time a large Traveller community and they're quite big on having their babies ears pierced, so I did lots and lots of baby piercings. (I know it sounds like a generalisation but piercing ears as early as possible seems like a big part of their culture). It's a hard job, and uncomfortable for everyone involved (piercers, parents and the baby) but it's not illegal and it must be medically OK if it's allowed at such young age.

also i know the house got discussed a bit when we bought it but she chats about the spare room in this vlog...is it a 4 bedroom house? but they have no spare bed/futon in any room for guests? 2 offices and a gym/chilling room in london and no where for family or friends to stay jus blows my mind!!

I'm a lucky this year to have managed to book a week off between Christmas and NY but I hadn't had that opportunity for so, so many years (most of my twenties, really) and I am aware that there are so many people who get Christmas Day off in the best case scenario, but there are others who might have to work all through the holidays, and I would never rub my own annual leave in their faces like influencers do!

Even her half pint has to be smaller than everyone else's.

Totally agree that influencers all seem to think everyone gets a week or two off at Christmas. Not sure what she's having a break from. Eating cheese? Being kindly gifted everything under the sun? Bunging things in the air fryer? Also, why did we need a picture of her closing her eyes?

It's tone deaf for Katie to bang on about needing time off when A. She doesn't seem to do much anyway and B. Our NHS workers and many many others need a rest and simply won't get it. Oh and C. She controls when she takes her annual leave and can take time off when she wants. Most of us don't have that luxury either.

The thing is, during her time of she'll want to go out and eat and shop, and she'll buy many things online or might get the odd thing gifted in the run-up to Xmas. She might also need to make doctor's appointment during the time she's off work. So she can be off for 2 weeks but she'll expect hospitality workers, retail workers, the postmen & delivery drivers, warehouse workers, healthcare worker and everyone else to work. We would all love to always have Christmas off but it's not how the society works.
