Vlogmas #2. Thumbnail says "knitting a bonnet and date night". Katie proceeds to show/mention neither. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Profesh as always!

Instead we are treated to her telling us how stressed she is (self-inflicted), fawning over the cat 🥱🙄 and wanging on about advent calenders with Geoffrey.

She's literally JUST corrected it... Hi Katie 👋🏻

Stressed about what 💀

I think you mean "tin fish".

Credit where it's due, this jumper is pretty impressive and the colours really suit her (for once)...

the ribbing on the bottom looks baggy though which would really annoy me. has she stretched it? is it a design choice? granted i couldn’t have knitted that and she’s done a good job but i just feel like it’s typical katie for it to lack that bit of attention to detail

Maybe it's just because she's soooo smolllll that the regular size arm holes are huge on her.

I thought the same thing though, I definitely couldn't make that myself but the sleeves look like it's been worn out and stretched for years - not newly finished.

Day 6, which was actually day 5 and also pre filmed, started with Katie talking about how worried she was about being able to knit enough Christmas presents while still being able to
A. Create content and do her job
B. Make more garments for herself
C. Make vlogmas interesting

B. Apparently she hasn't been able to sleep for thinking about all the things she needs to knit.

Just watched some of the emetephobia vlog (festive!). I had to stop. Her phobia is controlling her life, including whether or not they start a family. She even talked about her kids having friends over who might be sick.

I know there isn't a magic wand and money doesn't fix everything but if they're throwing money at designer handbags, clothing hauls, expensive date nights etc then they can afford for her to get the right kind of ongoing therapy to make life more manageable. She describes it as being debilitating but it's been ten years since she spoke to a professional about it. Why? Katie, please seek some proper treatment, you don't have to live like this.

I do sympathise and empathise with Kath on the emetophobia. As a fellow sufferer, one of the main things I know is common phobia treatments (exposure) do not work. Invariably, the more you're exposed to it, the worse the phobia becomes. Not helpful. It does end up controlling your life, but I'm just weirdly used to so much of it now. I have tried various therapies but none have been particularly revolutionary for me - I've just accepted it as part of me now, tbh. I'm a lot, lot better than I used to be - but I know I'm never going to be someone that doesn't think about being sick or other people being sick most days. Fun!

That's interesting to hear, I hadn't heard anyone talking about treatments making it worse! Sorry it sounds really hard to live with.

I didn't watch the vlog but how does her emetophobia work with having Ginnie around? Does Ginnie not get sick? 👀

Also, no roundup this week?

I thought whether or not they had kids was something they were both unsure they wanted? Not just ab issue of her phobia?

Yeah, it's a really curious situation - because normally exposure therapies with phobias are the way to go! I am sure there are some very understanding therapists and methods of treatment that Kath could access in London more so than the rural part of the world I'm in - not to mention she has the budget - whereas I don't. So she definitely could look at making her life easier, for sure. I had therapy for my anxiety and even that helped a lot, but it sounds like from the vlog she's still very much in the throes of things. Just editing to add - in some ways the phobia and no doubt her behaviour around it tie in beautifully with how she infantilises herself, and Geoff is part of that behaviour, too. Ooh, we could go very Freud here!
