Now that angers me ..... that money can be used for afew young adults complex needs, spending that amount on one person, is not right, yes Harvey needs the help, but not at 350 000 grand a year! thats bleeping ludicrous, I hope someone somewhere opposes this silly decision, the council surely can't justify this? .... when this money could help many, instead of just one ... as a taxpayer, this really pisses me off, because thats where the money is coming from, our pocket!! ... the bleep has money to squander on all her holidays, daily nail and hair done, surgeries and any other tit!! and still spends like a millionaire, and yet, we the public have to fund her sons care! .... yes, he needs the care, but not at this ridiculous cost!... I would rather my money, goes to helping many, not just one

I guess it's similar to getting funding for care home for an elderly person. We had to produce original bank statements, house ownership, pension state and private. The chap said careful how expensive the care home is, unofficially council will only pay x amount a month, takes three months, pre covid, for the council to say yes or no. So by the time you know if you've got any funding, let alone full funding, there's already a big bill. Also, they reasses, friend whose dad's alzheimers got worse to the point he couldn't walk, funding was stopped cos he wasn't a danger as he couldn't get out of bed.

Her "home" county is Sussex and that's where the mucky mansion is, then she lived in the rental in Surrey quite near to Pete and Emily (bet they were thrilled about that) and for now (but who knows how much longer for) they're in Essex. Harvey's previous residential was in SW London. So I'm wondering if all those local authorities are passing the buck like mad.

The Wandsworth one was the nearest that could take him and help with his specific needs. He claimed directly with his mother as legal guardian. The costs would have been met by Horsham/West Sussex social services with payments direct to the institution. He also had door-to-door travel.
