Yes it could it depends on the level it's called placement breakdown. They will have their own in-house positive behaviour support team then they will liaise with the community learning Disability team and intensive support team. If placement breakdown occurs, no alternative can be found that's safe enough or there's very high levels of risk they can be admitted to assessment & treatment unit under section until they can be stabilised then transition then discharged to another placement. They will exhaust all other avenues before hospital admission it is a last resort.

He will definitely be on at least a 2:1 if he's having frequent episodes of assault property destruction as it's not safe for one staff member to de-escalate and even possibly restrain alone. He's a very large man , I've known some be on a 5:1 as they used to put staff in hospital with broken arms , ribs , wrists, fingers , so it had to be massive ratios.
