Midwives these days ask can they see where baby is sleeping.That Knitted thing will be highly criticised and get noted in their notes. They despise sleepyheads so imagine the feedback from a hand made death trap like that. The lullaby trust state a clear flat cot, baby at foot of the cot and blankets tucked under arms so that they can’t kick them up over their head. Even better when the weigh enough get a sleeping bag. I can’t tell you how frightening it is to wake up and the baby has somehow managed to kick their blanket over their face. Look of justice for Preston, even breathable bumpers aren’t recommended. If Kate is going to spend her entire day online, listening to trolls then this is the one thing she needs to listen to. PLEASE do not put your baby at risk. My friend lost her 10 day old baby to SIDS and that’s with a clear cot, following all guidelines. You don’t want to put ANY risk factor at all, no matter if your neighbours, auntie and allllll your friends had bumpers and turned out fine. It only takes one. That is a statistic you do not want to be.
