I probably discuss my child on a night out if asked but I don’t go out of my way to mention her or my partner, doesn’t mean I don’t love her, the partner I could take or leaveI have a friend similar, when we meet up all she wants to talk about is kids
I’m just glad of the break & the opportunity to enjoy a meal or a drink without constant interruptions

Nothing worse when you're out back in a kitchen having a ball & someone starts passing their phone round showing pics of their kid !!
I do that but with pictures of my dog 
People love pets though, always happy to see a dog or cat photo! Noone is arsed on a kid they see more than their own reflection
