I can't wrap my head around the amount of coverage Derek's illness and now death is getting. It's quite possibly the most bizarre thing I've ever seen in my life.

Anyone got any theories on why the media are behaving this way over this one person/family above all others? Even now the tide has turned and more people are not afraid to say negative things about it they are doubling down and still dragging it on. I'm finding it bewildering in a Twilight Zone sort of way.

I can't abide Martin Lewis. He is so shouty and flailing I find it unbearable to watch or listen to him. I probably miss out on useful advice but I've survived so far.

Well ITV like him/her because of their Towerblock Traceys that think she is some kind of hero and they're just chasing ad revenue at all costs.

Yep I fear every time he shows up, for some reason my elderly Mother really likes him and laps up his every stupid word. So all the time I am having to talk her out of some massive load of hassle and time and effort that she doesn't understand or appreciate the risks of, just to save 2p. He is literally the reason why so many energy companies went to the wall because he kept persuading people like my mum to change supplier every few months.

She and Derek are the perfect clickbait for the media, especially the DM. The comments on the articles are now very unfavourable, and it gets people frothing at the mouth - just like Meghan Markle who is the headline today.

I personally think that there is much more to this story than meets the eye, and that's why the media are keeping it active. They can't be seen to "attack" Kate or Derek right now, but give it a few months.......

I was amazed when the Mexico trip came out even if it was promptly buried and "forgotten"... I wonder what happened there? It's the only time so far any media shed light on the truth behind Kate's narrative even a little bit.
