Alexandra Shulman looked fabulous, teaming an Adidas skirt with Prada shoes. What she doesn't know about fashion, style, and journalism isn't worth knowing, so I suspect she flew in for her two talks, signed her books, and flew home - without taking too much notice of DMBL40. She's in a different league professionally.

Peak oompah loompah…

One thing about Kat I have grant her - she never seems to get down on herself. She’s so upbeat and confident. Her energy and manic enthusiasm exhausts me.

Perhaps she has to retire to a darkened room and regroup now and then. Would make her more human.

I used to see her in a gastro pub near me having dinner with her son. I like how UN-fashion-luvvie she is.

I met Lucinda Chambers at a Vogue Fest. She was a-mazing. She had finished one of her wardrobe 'workshops' and I spoke to her afterwards and she was like, "where's YOUR jacket from? Oh I LOVE Whistles!" Charm personified (but super posh)

You really can't compare at ex vogue editor to Kat 🤣

Alexandra is great I met her at a vogue festival years ago.

So Kat isn’t feeling Valentine’s Day this year eh 👀 and I wonder if this story tagging Pascale was about them on a double date ha ha 🤣 just joking, but they are on an absolute MISSION at the moment, proper singles ladies vibes!

What is a bit sad is that at the end of September she did an anniversary post for him where she said lovely things and it seemed heartfelt.

But by the middle of November the rings were off.

You'd hate to think it was that fast, even if they had grown apart over the years.

I always find the ones that do gushing posts on fb etc about their partners are usually the ones that divorce. It’s happened to at least 4 couples locally to me. Including my neighbour, who was always doing these posts. I would NEVER comment about my OH on any social media, the thought makes me 🤢. Because I would only be doing it to show people I know, how happy I was etc etc….. and the end of the day, people don’t give a tit nor do they need to know! It’s all smoke and mirrors.

I also find men can’t cope when women gain independence. I was a SAHM for a few years when my kids were small. We couldn’t afford me not to work so I restarted my career. It’s been a real struggle as the household responsibilities need to be shared and I’m much much more independent earning my own money. Not one bit liked. It also depends in your age. My mum and mother in law were sahms so H has not been used to husbands/fathers having to pull their own weight.

Isn't it awful that this is still the case, in 2023. When we think about it.

Perhaps her family's right to privacy and her career clashed - the boundaries became muddled and caused conflict. The family home and teenage children were usually the backdrop: were they comfortable with those dynamics, and consensual to (often random or intimate) details of their lives being posted online for strangers to view?
