Yeah that logic ain’t it. Such a toxic mindset.
Something happening over 10 years ago or even yesterday in your life, doesn’t mean your private life is for everyone. We all choose what we want to share. Just like they choose what parts of their lives they want to share on their show/social media. Some people really are lost and have no human compassion. Let’s hope you never have to deal with something to be left with a shrug and a ‘well you did something completely unrelated to this thing before therefore I can’t see you as human’

Anyways, I wish they’d stop this show of their theirs. It’s so dated. I know it brings in the money but :/
At this point they all just need to be single and focus on themselves for a year.

Also, wasnt her sex tape at risk of being leaked, and thats why they took control over how it was released? I could be remembering wrong/naively accepting that narrative but I do think it was going to be leaked rather than her just choosing to make and release a sex tape to further her career. I will never judge someone for making the best out of a crappy situation like that. She made millions from a situation that many girls are shamed for. I dont see why people hate on her for that. She could have just passively watched from the sidelines as her private moment was leaked to the world, but she took control of it, made some money from the situation and built her career around it. She was going to be shamed either way.

No it was released and I guess they realised they couldn’t control it then they put a copyright on it to make money

Yeah so that is what i meant. She wasn't releasing it herself, someone else was against her will. And she tried to prevent it from being released but couldn't, so she did the next best thing. I dont see why people begrudge her for that. She was going to be shamed either way, she decided to make money from it instead of just passively watching it happen with no control.

Were the family famous before the tape? I know her dad was for the OJ Simpson case

Yeah she was well known in the same circles as Paris and Nicole and was a stylist to Brandy and a few others. She was a known socialite. The sisters opened up dash before the sex tape leaked like. She may not have been world famous but they were known enough for there to be interest in the sex tape, its not like everyone was watching for Ray J 😄

I'm not saying the sex tape didnt help her career, but she actively tried to stop its release. I personally dont see why people hate on her for making the best of a crappy situation and making some money from it.

People hate on Kim for exactly that reason I guess, a young, beautiful woman took control of her sexuality and a crappy situation and got the best deal possible from it. How dare she, she should have shaved her head and walked around with a bell attached to her so we could all point and laugh at her shame!
But she didn't, she owned it and got the last laugh

That’s not why I don’t like her tbh, I totally respect her for what she did, loads of people make sex tapes it’s not a big deal, I just find her (and the rest of the family) so unbelievably shallow. I remember one ep discussing what Halloween costumes to wear so they could take good Instagram pics, everything about them is just appearance and looking good

Yeah totally fair enough, she isn't everyone's cup of tea, personalliy I can't stand Khloe, she is so rude and her language is disgraceful.
I just see so many comments about Kim like "isn't she only famous for a sex tape" "not bad for a girl who got pissed on" there are no watersports in her video for goodness sake, its very tame and almost *whispers* boring.
People seem to really struggle to understand that people can have a personality as well as a sexual identity. None of us are one dimensional.

Yeh I don’t really like any of them tbh, I used to prefer Khloe but she has got worse as she seems to have become more obsessed with her appearance, my assumption is she’s always hangry as barely eats 😂

I completely agree. Her intimate moment was shared with the world without her consent. Fair play to her for profiting off that. It was an abhorrent violation.

The option is there for everybody to profit off their own pornographic content if they so wish. They choose not to, for whatever reason, its their own business, yet they happily judge kim for it, when she had the freedom of choice taken from her in the first place. I just think its a low blow to slag off a woman for having had her privacy violated... it makes no sense imo.

I used to like her too. Then i watched the show more regularly and I realised she does not seem like a nice person! Definitely hangry!
