There were millions watching the trial and are now feeling not exactly happy about the gaslighting. I have seen more and more comments where life-long Guardian or NYT readers are asking questions (e.g. on Facebook) that "if they lie and gaslight us about this, what else they have lied about".

And meanwhile, conservative and right-wing publications manage to depict the trial and result accurately (Sky News Australia, Fox, The Telegraph).

It’s really not that odd or sudden to anyone who’s been on the non-politically-correct side of virtually any debate over the last 5 years - this kind of gaslighting by the MSM has been happening for ages. I’m really pleased that hundreds of thousands of people have suddenly discovered this for themselves through the experience of watching the trial, seeing the truth with their own eyes and then seeing how dishonestly it’s being reported in support of a political agenda. The weirdest thing or all is if you consider yourself liberal or left-leaning to suddenly find yourself allied with right-leaning publications, it’s like going through a mirror and afterwards things never really look the same again.

Are we pro Jonny Depp here? Tbh I thought it was pretty much proven that he definitely hit her while he was in the worst of his drug/alcohol binges and the texts seem to prove that. Shocked at the backlash on her given that the half sentence he was suing her for was so mild. Can't believe he won the case honestly.

there are some very pro Depp opinions, but IMO it was a very nuanced, complicated case and tbh I don’t think there really was ever a right or wrong outcome.
