I was in the same situation as you except mine was more emotional abuse and manipulation and I spoke about Joanne's alluding to abuse on a previous thread.

To be honest I don't believe her . I know that sounds harsh but she is so manipulative and I think she was genuinely upset by the break up so did whatever she could to hurt him back.

I didn't ever have to tell my friends what happened because they could see the change in me. I became a shadow of my former self and became completely withdrawn. When the relationship ended I slowly came back to myself. I'm not saying that people who are in abusive relationships should behave a certain way or be a certain way. I just think in this scenario she changed so much to be with him , physically and what her hobbies became, that when he ended it she was incredibly bitter.

I have an emotionally manipulative ex, I never spoke to anyone either, which isn’t great either. I was distanced from all of my friends, certain things can still set me off, but thankfully doing much better. But Jesus the last thing I’d want is to blast it all over social media.

She has a track record of lying so I find it hard to believe someone like that, which I know is awful. Totally agree, one day they were all lovey dovey, then the breakup and accusations...

So she's finally admitted all these years later that she was in a house share I don't need any more convincing of the fact that she has deep rooted issues over the fact that her life in London didn't work out. How must Adam feel about her constantly posting throwbacks and talking about this point in her life? I can only assume it doesn't bother him because he is in fact her housemate. I don't believe for one second that she was abused in that relationship for all the reasons previous posters have just mentioned. It's concerning that she continues to allude to abuse and yet has never posted links to supports for people who might be in similar situations. Everything about her honestly makes my stomach turn.
