Jo Good #14 Nostril shots and s'yoots, with Stella ortho boots.

Sounds as if someone contacted a brand about her. She said if it was the BBC they would "investigate" but she's on her own otherwise. She wouldn't be worried if she believed nothing she's done or said could be compromising.
The thing is, if I were an influencer I think I would be in danger of getting it wrong too. I don’t fully understand the dos and don’ts, so many of them are all doing different stuff. Plus the BBC itself, during the Olympic coverage, the female presenters were doing outfits of the day with links to what they were wearing. Were they ads? Did the BBC sanction them doing it? Was it an arrangement that the BBC got them stylists and they got publicity for the Olympics? It’s confusing. And MAM is small fry in the BBC’s employ. Why would they care if she casually dropped in her socials when there are others promoting stuff like Boden or Whistles dresses to a larger audience, which were some of the brands being linked to in the Olympics. It is a confusing landscape, and you get the sense she doesn’t do detail, so you could see her getting in a muddle. I haven’t been watching her much lately, but she seems to have a few solid brands she works with despite her low subs, they repeat book her, they like her, she is doing okay.

I don't think she meant the BBC would investigate about her advertising, but they'd investigate "trolls" saying negative things about her.

And the Beeb has been looking into the commercial activities of the Olypic presenters, one of several articles I saw.
https://www.12ft.io/https://www.dai...omoting-clothing-brands-presenting-Paris.html

Jo Good operates commercially in a field which requires compliance with certain regulatory procedures but chooses not to observe these, nor does she bother engaging a professional to take care of things on her behalf.

Perhaps she was reported to the ASA or CMA? With her usual entitlement she'll expect to be let off by saying she gets a bit muddled.

Re DM article, I didn’t see Laura Kenny but I saw at least three other female Olympic presenters do it. It seemed so open it looked like it was BBC sanctioned. It was everyday. I suppose they must have got the same warnings as Kenny.

I wish MAM would interview Dave properly. Maybe she has asked and he said no. He is so eccentric. He looks younger than his years - I think he is in his 60s? There is a fascinating story there I think.

Latest reel is more bull from GOB, face stained with bronzer pretending she can see a difference after using that Provencal brand's serum. She actually expects her trusting stans to believe dotting it on for a fortnight got rid of her 11s.

Filmed in that Sussex hotel she likes, presumably so she can expense her personal trip in a four-poster with Myrtle as a location fee.

Does that patronising thing, stating she was "privileged" to go on the trip to Provence. Influencers and celebs do this to cynically manage the optics of all their freebies but it comes off as presuming the poor plebs watching them would never have such an opportunity.

Probably grinds my gears because I have a sister-in-law who does this about everything:
"How was your holiday?" Well we were so lucky/blessed/privileged to stay at... "What are you up to on the weekend?" I'm so grateful my dear friends have asked me to....

Back in Marylebone GOB's chin close up brought back childhood terrors of Mata Hairi secret chimp gurning into the camera.

GOB's Insta story - promo for tonight's BBC radio show with guest Ruth Crilly who's punting her book, which GOB calls "the best book I've read in YEARS!" We all know it's the only book she's read in years.

Calls Ruth a supermodel when her book is about how she didn't become a supermodel.

It's gonna be a complete influencer circle-jerk.

That's the TV gig she was talking about on the vlog, thought it was ITV when she said she went to White City. Now that's she's back on the telly we might finally see her on Marigold!!

Did she do a segment or has she got a regular gig?

Just watched her This Morning slot. She's on as a fashion expert, hosts said she was there for the first time, might mean she'll be a regular.

In the first intro she strutted around in front of the line up of the women featured in the fashion segment announcing manically "I'm almost 70...go on girls, give me a clap!!". 🤪

On ITVx around 1.20.00 Sponsored by Matalan. Immediately tries to align herself with Trinny "she paved the way for women my age". Says young people "smile at me in the street". A plug for middleagedminx, says "my trolls" say the middleaged ship has sailed. "I live in a very fashionable part of the city... I spend all my money on clothes...I've gone without..." Can't help boasting AND playing the povvo card.

GOB spruiking for other brands too. Primark, River Island, ASOS. They implied she put the outfits together but it would be the shows stylists, she couldn't be arsed.

Insufferable! She’ll be on a narc high for days now. She’ll be inundated with products after this kind of exposure. I wonder what Trinny thinks of her.

When the awkward models say 'they wouldn't normally go for something like this', you know they hate it. It's all high street, so it will be fine for Sandra the caretaker, and you dopes watching. GOB is not going to buy the £9 Primarni bag, when she can spend over a grand on a fugly one.
It was like watching Edna the Inebriate, on a barstool, screeching for attention.

I haven’t seen her in her new role on TM, I don’t watch it. Her slow squeeze from the BBC radio airwaves has been the making of her in this next stage of her life. She probably didn’t think it at the time, but it has been. She was given the time to take on new opportunities. Her Sheerluxe gigs must have been a big boost to her bookability as an on screen broadcaster. She was given feedback from SL that the viewer feedback was really good and that would go down well with the production team. I bet she thought her tv career was over, especially as it is an ageist industry, so fair play to her, and her agent who is working well for her. She is going to get loads of subs, that 100k You Tube button she mentions is going to be hers soon. She should get Dave on as a model - older guys need fashion advice too! I would rather watch her than that breathless and hyper Scotsman on Lorraine.

I watched ‘This Morning’ for a year or so, and some of the viewer’s Twitter comments were often quite entertaining, if a bit harsh. I remember the fashion slot was always a bone of contention, if prices were more than ‘value High Street’.

Just checked Twitter now, and here are a few from today (in reality, negative comments far outweigh positive ones, but that’s always the case as there’s a community who convene each morning to make scathing remarks about the show).

@Thismorning
Who, who, who was your fabulous fashion expert this morning? She was ACE.
Relatable, knowledgeable and stylish.
#MiddleAgefashion #Ladyinred #ThisMorning

This whole segment falls apart when you consider Jo's comment from earlier in the show that she was having to persuade the women to wear the outfits the show had picked #thismorning

That "fashion-expert" reminds me of the old lady from Rosemary's Baby.
#thismorning

Now this is exactly the sort of fashion segment I want to see! Along with Trinny, Jo’s utterly fab! (Much) more of her please 🙏 #ThisMorning

Well done if she's getting positive comments but they could well be her mates or 'my team'. She has form for this; Tattlers have said - when, in earlier days as fans, they messaged her radio show about a topic being discussed - GOB would read it out and then add a compliment about herself or the show, as if it was from the sender!

She also gets her mates on Chewing the Fat to plant 'conversational' comments, usually about loving her (monetised) Youtube channel, aiding GOB's use of the BBC to promote her outside commercial ventures.
---
What about her commitment to being 'sustainabool'? Always claiming expensive gear is better, price per wear etc. But forget that, when there's a TV fee to spruik £6 plastic handbags she'll soon forget her ethics.

GOB will certainly be on a narc high after her telly gig. First appearance so she's introduced fulsomly, gets to promote herself and her socials and trumpets her age but surely it won't be like that each time she's on. Still, presumably she'll be happy to be propped on the stool reading prompt cards for the fee and the profile.

Let's not forget This Morning's production team referred to their typical viewer as Tower Block Tracy so GOB would do well to not flex her high-end lifestyle but her ego might make it impossible to resist.
