I got round to watching the eight minute video with no less than six ads to click through! But sure, the baby is not the content. Sarah’s looking great, but I suppose most people would have no choice but to be solely looking after baby while the other is back at work so between the two of them it looks like a lot of rest and no other responsibilities (of course). My eyes rolled into the back of my head when Jim said he gets bored when Margot is sleeping!

Well I guess this is the most important thing

Thats certainly no pressure for any woman to bounce back after giving birth🤦‍♀Maybe shes been feeling down so hes trying to make her feel better but any other ladies out there who just gave birth and dont look like that, for example elle darby, might be crying and stuffing their faces with biscuits seeing how great she looks must be good genes!

It really shouldn’t matter at all should it. The body has been through the mill for 9 months and then at the end it has to go through the mill again, whether that be ‘natural’ or c-section. I just wish society/SM would leave women alone after they’ve had a baby, who cares if someone snaps straight back or not. I had a c-section 18 years ago and I still have an annoying little (I say little 😫) pouch but if I hadn’t have had it, me and my daughter probably wouldn’t be here today so I wear it with pride. Sorry for the me-rail but was just backing up my point. The media has a lot to answer for.

‘Margot isn’t the content.’ He says, making a completely unnecessary video 16 days after her arriving.

There are few things more annoying that new parents talking about how lucky they are because their baby is so ‘easy’. Get back to us in a few months, because 16 days is nothing. The mansplaining has reached unbearable heights.

without turning tattle into mumsnet…..how come all these influencers have easy, chill babies?!? If I hear one more jim chapman or Elle Darby tell me how much they adore their perfect newborn I might cry! My 3 week old screams a lot, is very grumpy, sucks boob all day and refuses to sleep…. Am I doing this totally wrong?!?

I don’t know if you saw Elle’s stories about Saint having a ‘meltdown’ at Westfield on their London trip but that was quite an amusing bit of schadenfreude 🤣 I think they are all too smug for their own good. Jim’s saying she’s so easy now but it’s only been a couple of weeks. I reckon Mr Know-It-All has a few things to learn 😂😂

Of course you're not!!! This is exactly why influencers are so toxic. "Everything is so perfect, our life is so easy and wonderful". Like get the f out of here with that. I think it would be awesome if Sarah shared how SHE was feeling, as we only see how giant toddler Jim is doing. At least Zoe (and I cannot believe I'm using her as a somewhat positive example) has spoken, however grossly, about her post birth complications. I mean, Sarah can't get a word in edgewise so who knows if she'd be willing to or not.

No! Absolutely not and please don’t think that you are. This is why social media is dangerous when people pretend everything is ok and flaunt it. It makes other people feel tit and question what they’re doing.

Sarah did speak about her birth experience and complications, though. In her stories. She did it matter of factly and not grossly like Zoe did. She'll never get a word in in a Jim video because Jim's ego sucks out all the air in a room.

It's too bad she only did it in her stories, Im sure her experience would help a lot of new mothers feel less alone.

Agree. It's a problem of audience, I think. Sarah doesn't have her own audience. The audience she has comes from Jim, so he controls everything because he's Jim. He'd never allow her to do a video on her own about the birth experience without him being there as if he had actually been there and did all the birthing himself.

The fact that we all know he'd never "allow" her to do something is really sad... It's kind of sad to see whatever sparkle Sarah seemed to have when they first met fading so rapidly. I know she's currently dealing with postpartum issues, but you could see it fading even before.

No you’re not! Social media can be so damaging for stuff like this. Have a read up on the 4th trimester…baby is still adjusting to this new bright, hard cold world, they’re ordering their milk in and they need help settling to sleep. I promise you it will fall into place 🤍 Ive been amazed seeing both Sarah and Zoe out so soon after birth. I had an episiotomy (cut in 3 places) so you can imagine all of the stitches. I certainly wasn’t leaving the house and able to walk until 6 weeks. As much as my recovery was absolute agony, i cherish all the cuddles, rest and time I had at home.

I just watched a bit of the new video, then got bored. He reminded me of my brother in law who only ever held his baby when his family was there or he was showing off to friends like a peacock then not bother with the baby at all the rest of the time. Publicly act like his baby is his world on Facebook and I’d be sat there holding or bottle feeding his baby while he was really on his Xbox in his man cave…. Just get the exact same vibes!

Someone just mentioned Elle Darby and i remember that connor was with her during birth but Jim said in the video that he wasnt with sarah he wasnt allowed or something? Did anyone catch why?
