I just needed to pop next door our local hospital is litterly over the wall!
Alot of people in Cavan and Leitrim attend the Rotunda, due to as referenced another poster here the absolute shambles that is Maternity Services in Cavan General. I wouldn't judge anyone for going private in the Rotunda, if you can afford to I think it would be foolish not to avail of the opportunity. At the end of the day it only costs Jen the price of another designer handbag. What is better value another tacky handbag or the health and care you and your baby receive? I know which one I would choose. Why would be use the rotunda? Surely there's a hospital closer?!
My consultant is €5,000 and worth every penny. And I feel no guilt about going private. Not even the slightest bit concerned about the judgement for booking myself in privately either!I'm sure she going to the rotunda as a private patient...huge choice of consultants in rotunda compared to where she from....I'd imagine there is only a choice of 2 or 3 or less in sligo or mullingar....doubt she going to rotunda as she high risk.....I'd say she booked herself in privately....I'd say it costs between 3.5 k to 4.5k depending on chosen consultant..she can well afford it......after that extravagant wedding that a small fee to pay....
...
Literally this the choice of Cavan or Drogheda versus one of the Dublin Maternity hospitals is very easy. We all just want whats best for our babies.Am no fan of Jennifer or her page , she is the ultimate snake oil salesperson , but Cavan would be my local maternity hospital , but the Gp asked me at the time , do I want to go to Cavan, Drogheda or the Dublin maternity hospitals ,
He just sends a referral to the hospitals, am sure she is private and it’s even easier to pick , but a lot of women from Cavan Monaghan Louth , Leitrim Sligo area pick the Dublin maternity hospitals , public or private

I hadn't heard sligo had a bad reputation for maternity.
Nevin Maguires prem twins were born there and he couldn't be more complimentary.
No one here said Sligo had a bad reputation... Cavan has a horrendous one
No one here said Sligo had a bad reputation... Cavan has a horrendous one though, and that was mentioned here twice. Everyone has a choice of where to go, and I don't see it as a stick to beat anyone with.
I was scrolling through and saw Sligo mentioned, my bad!
They're teenagers now, or close to it. A lot could have changed in that time too.
I have no doubt things may well have changed. i saw him interviewed a few weeks ago and he spoke at length about the twins and them being in NICU. Lovely to hear a positive outcome from a smaller hospital. That's all I meant
Yeah the comment about loads of women from Sligo going isn't true- don't know a single oneI hadn't heard sligo had a bad reputation for maternity. Nevin Maguires prem twins were born there and he couldn't be more complimentary.
Each to their own in terms of choice. It's probably more of a reflection of women's health in Ireland that people feel its safer to go private in a dublin maternity hospital. Very sad in 2024. Remember this in the upcoming election girlies!

I wonder what her new project is, please god don't be her launching some shite product. God knows she's brazen enough

Sligo was mentioned. Saying loads do. I actually don't even care, why I even bothered replying I don't know relax likejust because you haven't, it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Jen is from Leitrim anyway, no one mentioned people from Sligo - just that Sligo hospital would be one of the options. Personally I know 6 that have chosen to go to either the Rotunda or Holles St rather than Sligo, Cavan or Mullingar (all equal distances from them, and half the distance to Dublin). Indirectly, I've heard of many more anecdotes. So it does happen, quite a lot.
It doesn't matter if she has a hospital appointment every day of the week in Timbuktu when the only other thing you have to do of a foggy Monday is drive out to Lough Rynn to take a photo at the gates
On a third pregnancy and still at it, ffs. For fear anyone would think she’s fat and not preggars. The hand on the belly drives me mad
