I have a feeling she’s protecting him because she still has hope that he will take her back. It’s all about separation, not sure what the future holds etc. I think she hopes that he takes her back.

Just to say there are two sides to every story, and because jade says there were no signs doesn't mean there weren't. Also that influencer/youtuber lifestyle must have been very hard to live with and lockdown has highlighted many issues for many couples. Seems a bit harsh to automatically blame matt when jade has never been the most truthful online over the years

I agree with this, we all know Jade has romanticised her life for a little while and who knows what her views are on sexuality etc

Thank god she's finally confirmed it! Now I want her to come back and be Jade Billington, not Jade of "Matt and Jade". I'm talking solo/girls trips, going out at weekends and having too much to drink, selling the house and buying herself a new place, doing it up just for herself, generally living her hot girl single life. That's the Jade I want to see! This split could be really good for her if she does it right.

I dont support Matt in any way shape or form here but I do think people should stay off his Instagram. She already said he isn't returning so its pointless and putting comments like that on his page is only going to cause Jade to stop sharing things again. I dont think she would want to be associated with that kind of behaviour regardless of what Matt has or hasn't done.

Am so glad she has finally addressed it. Respect levels for her have certainly gone up. Is coincidental that it was right after everyone on here got angry about the blocking of people who were speculating on her pictures.... Either way, everyone finally knows!!! I feel very bad for her but am glad she is going to try and keep going and not give up everything for someone like him.

“He won’t be coming back online” why? Has she held him to ransom? Clearly there is another side but by being silenced I almost feel like he’s either majorly in the wrong or she’s protecting him from more stuff?

I would love to see jade tackle the world as a newly single 30 year old.
Solo disney trips, maybe do all the Disney parks solo? Go travelling, and have honest chats about the process.

It seems like Matt was somewhat respecting Jade’s wishes by not unfollowing her or deleting photos without her saying something first. I wonder if he knew she was posting that. He may feel like now she’s said her bit, he will say his. Especially if he’s getting hate. But then again if he’s in the wrong he could just nope the hell out of the internet.

I think that statement has been carefully co-written with her management. If things have got nasty and they’ve started divorce proceedings with legal personnel, he would have had to approve that statement and they might have put some sort of “clause” in that she can’t slander him or properly disclose the real reason in a negative way etc

Massive respect to Jade for having the strength to put share something so raw. So brave. I could not have done it, I would never have been able to come back to a public audience ever again.

I stand by anything I have said prior to now, it WAS wrong for her to have left people hanging but that doesn't mean it wasn't extremely difficult to share the truth and I don't think I appreciated that until I read her words.

Jade, you will come through this. We are all rooting for you and wish you all the love in the world.

If he has been cheating then hell yeh, we all think this.

BUT, if he has just fallen out of love with her then I can't knock him. It's an admirable thing to put your hands up and say something isn't working rather than leaving everyone to be miserable.
