On things like women he's more liberal than you'd think! Don't get the caricature mixed up with the real person.

Bill was more interested in getting on board the Lolita Express to Epstein Island!

I always thought it stopped fertilization that's why it's only recommended within a certain time frame , I used it before .
It does that as well, it has three functions:
1. Prevent ovulation
2. Block fertilization
3. Keep a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus.

It's no 3 they don't like talking about.

Then you've misunderstood the meaning of abortifacient.
How do you work that out?

But it’s only recommended within 5 days at the latest. I think it takes a lot longer than that for fertilisation to take place, unless you’re injecting the sperm into the egg manually.

Life starts from the moment of conception.
I agree people have differing opinions on when life begins ,some say it's at the point of birth others conception . Would you rather a woman carried on with an unwanted pregnancy where the child could be born into resentment / abuse or terminate before it's viable , a dot on the screen, it's a sensitive subject for people and very individual to perception.

It's all about the big questions really. What is life and how much should we value it? That's the good thing about the teaching of the Catholic Church - you don't have to spend years pondering these things and wringing your hands, you just study the teaching, reconcile yourself with it and accept it.

Many would say there's a lot of ironey in those teachings when they don't abide by them themselves ...do we forgive and forget 🤷‍♀️

I believe that those who don't will have to account for it at the Final Judgement. No-one's ever said we're all perfect, far from it.

We're completely derailing but ...That would account for us all then ...those that are without sin cast the first stone and all that  ... but there were lives taken and that's the reality of it ,not just a case of not being perfect there's murderers out there that will never repent. I don't think they can be forgiven that easily and the church is paying the price with the lack of ordinations and ridicule and it will carry on through the generations ,few have faith in it anymore except those that hang off the alter rails thinking their good catholics when they so easily brush aside genocide and sexuel abuse

Did I say they'd just easily be forgiven? No, and I can't say that because it isn't up to me.
