Scripted banter? Is that even a thing? How can banter be scripted, surely banter is in the moment back and forth chatter?

I always enjoy a show more when the host and the co host or guest can go off script and have a laugh before returning to the script again. It makes it more if an interesting show and shows they have a chemistry. If she makes scripted banter awkward then they have no working chemistry, just plain awkwardness like bad date.

I love how she explains everything away with “it was scripted banter between me and Matt” No matter how awkward it is, it is always scripted.

They clearly need new scriptwriters then.
