I think there are a lot of rooms in the not so crappy bungalow that we don’t see or only see a very quick glimpse of.

I don’t think it’s that she cares for SB’s privacy as such, I think it’s more that showing his expensive games console with tons of games, a designer wardrobe with multiple football kits, various gadgets she’s mentioned in passing and several pairs of expensive trainers would be very very obviously a sign of money in the household to a much wider variety of people than the sideboards are (hands up, wouldn’t have had a clue what brand they were or how much they cost until Tattle).

It’s much bigger than an average three bed semi. Also she’s got the fire hazard shed and garage/huge outbuilding thing that she was using as a packing area when the endless move began.

Sorry haven't been here in yonks, but is the memoir cancelled? Genuinely devasting news, was dying to see what could be claimed when passed through an editor and fact checked (those years living on the streets will be sadly undocumented).

That neon sign for example, if you know you know it’s expensive but to a casual viewer who’s never looked into it, it doesn’t look that much different than the shitey ones you get on Amazon for about £20, the sideboards don’t scream expensive unless you know, the watch, even her blurry earrings which ironically she drew more attention to by trying to hide. I wouldn’t have known the first thing about the watch or the earrings and unless you know the tells and are looking in detail, I bet a lot of people wouldn’t pick up on them.

Also most people aren't paying close attention. You might see a pic in the paper and note the expensive watch but not pay it any more thought. It's only because tattlers have collated all the evidence and costed all her stuff that the truth of her spending becomes clear. To the average person, though, she's been able to explain away having a pricey watch or hat with that line about treating herself on publication of her books.

that's a great point - before, I probably just assumed her house was rented furnished tbh & that it all belonged to her landlady
