Your photo🤣 Love it. Facial expression of the year. I’ve always found Eamonn and Ruth deeply annoying but they, yes absolutely x, nailed it on this. Ruth juggling all the ‘wtf?s’ she must have been getting through her earpiece with keeping the show on the road and being very kind indeed to JM. And Eamonn. A magnificent, appalled Easter Island statue in the background, throwing in a ‘hurry the duck up’ at the last minute and letting the rude, “You’re stressing me out, mate” bounce off his stony edifice without a blink.

I'm extremely late, sorry - unlike some people, for me no childcare means actually having to take care of your children yourself and involves actually taking care of them MYSELF... But I agree with whoever mentioned the guinea pigs and rabbits that she's posted about on SM and then just never mentioned again - I have both myself, as well as children and a dog (triangulate me!) and couldn't just leave (any of) them while I sauntered off to find myself mid lockdown ... Showing how long I've been following her but she even posted photos of her guinea pig at the polling station a few years back - it was a hashtag thing so of course she jumped on it. Where are the small fluffs Jack?!

PS, bloody loving the images - Big Cook, Little Cook made me HOOT!!
No, no, no! I think you misunderstand, if your child's dad has your child for 50% of the time it is co-parenting, so you cannot called it childcare. So Jack is has no help with childcare.

The poor little lamb.

All these references to My heart will go on. I now have stuck in my head alternative lyrics to the "near, far wherever you are" line.

Near, far, she wears a manky bra"

It's just going round and round in my head. I don't like the song at the best of times, so this is really annoying. Anyone with a cure for an earworm?

I had to do a version. As it's what Viv would have wanted.

Oh the cut off legs have broken me. That's just too funny

Only cure is another earworm. I woke up with this in my head for god only knows what reason, so maybe if I pass it on it will leave me (like a more pleasant version of The Ring).

I never got her whole amo. I mean she wants to make simple cooking for the poor, yet she faffs with the recipies to make it something else ( which in my opinion looks and sounds horrid) I mean beans are ok on there own or with some toast ( possibly cheese) or jkt potato.

I was a poor student and I lived on jacket potatoes with various fillings, pasta with various fillings, the odd Mexican meal kit. I hate tinned foods with a passion so I try to avoid then if I can. I only ever use beans ( occassionally) chopped Tom's and sometimes soup. So the fact she's taking a tin of spam and grating it into some sort of soup always makes me think. I would take a slice of toast instead of there was nothing else.

this is the thing, I mean corned beef is lovely On its own and very filling. However it’s more expensive than the very cheapest mince so if I was on a v low budget I’d rather buy v cheap mince and bulk it out with tinned lentils Or extra beans to make a chilli. The corned beef I would have with a baked potato. Why over complicate things so much? Also, financially constrained people tend to be time poor too so who wants to spend ages grating corned beef and rinsing beans?

Ah the old 'the world owes me a living (or property ownership)' idiom. I wonder why she is like that, other than her clearly obvious entitled middle class upbringing. The obsession with home ownership is interesting. To me it suggests she is seeking security and stability and this could come from her childhood if she felt neglected and resentful at her parents being fosters which is quite sad really. However as other posters have pointed out if she were a nicer person, she would maybe get more sympathy. I suspect there will be people who having met her once might avoid her in the future. She is vicious on SM, snarling with teeth bared when she goes in for the kill like a little wolverine. She has no mercy, no guilt and no empathy for her victims. The days of feeling sorry for her are long. Leaving a disabled kitten without veterinary treatment, prolonging it's suffering, introducing it to a larger potentially dangerous adult cat and forcing it into painful poses before allowing it to die a distressing and painful death not to mention making a monetized video on the back of said death has killed any possible pangs of sympathy I may have felt. Jack is cold and heartless in addition to being entitled, self centred, egotistical and utterly ruthless when it comes to others.
I do miss the lighter days of DKL, it was more innocent, banter, cooking critique and pointless lie exposure. Things have got progressively darker since then. I do hope that she is working on proper self care and healing just now. It would be good if she took people's advice on board and changed to become a kinder more forgiving person. Time will tell I suppose but I do have serious doubts. I think she is too far gone.

I don’t know, when I was Jack’s age I was obsessed with home ownership too because it seemed to far out of reach. Renting was way more expensive than mortgage payments would have been and I used to stress a lot about what would happen when I was retired and still renting. There’s not a lot of social housing about anymore for older renters. We live in a property obsessed nation so I fully understand Jack’s obsession and I don’t think it’s a particularly MC marker at all. What gets my goat is that she clearly earns or is capable of earning enough to get a mortgage so the constant moaning is like a kick in the teeth for people who are genuinely stuck renting. I mean I know she’s a freelancer but a property owning relative could be a guarantor for her or if she really wanted she could change careers and get a job in food marketing for example. As a published writer she’d be snapped up in an instant.

I don’t understand this either. She said at the beginning of that book reading video that was shared yesterday that Penguin gave her £25K for her first book. What did she do with it? Why wouldn’t she immediately put it into property for the security she so clearly craves?
