Yes!! Aye(!) @Spanner said this too. She’s always done this and it’s always annoyed me. The person coming in the shop as she leaves with all of that could not have eaten that day and have a quid in their pocket to spend. If she did insist on buying it she should have given it straight away to people who needed it. She’s selfish and opportunistic because all she was thinking was about the post she was already composing in her head. A homeless person could have had those biscuits fgs. Selfish.

Also (and sorry if someone has already said this as I am forever grunka-ing) shouldn't people who can afford it buy the high-welfare ham and chicken to increase the demand for it? I mean if they profess to care about animal welfare at all, that is.

I am thoroughly depressed by that meal. I had one night away in Edinburgh last year as a little break. I had amazing Japanese ramen, went to a great veggie restaurant in the centre of the city and obviously had haggis. I also did not claim at any point to be 'home'.

She’s not immunocompromised, she has a compromised immune system. She MADE A MISTAKE OK?

Actually, as she hasn't listed any medication in her multitude of pills or photographed anything that would affect her immune system, she's actually got a vastly improved immune system compared to most. That's the point of RA and the ilk - it's so super strong and sensitive that it doesn't just zap every virus and bacteria in sight, it does it to the various body systems as well.

You know those people who, in an office or school outbreak of the flu, norovirus, chickenpox, colds, coughs and everything else who are the last ones left standing after everybody else has succumbed? Yep, we're those people. I'm one of those people. On the rare occasion that you do get ill, with an uncontrolled immune response, you can become very unwell, but on the whole, you just don't get sick.

The trade off is that you feel tit for other reasons, but you don't catch much, even when in direct contact with people with infection.

Taking medication (a combination of, not just one) like MTX, Humira, oral steroids, etc, etc, takes your risk of infection down to normal, and if not managed carefully through regular blood tests, can then make you more vulnerable. But she isn't taking any combination of those, as we all know a bunch of deliveries of pen injectors and sharps bins would have got pride of place in the Poundshop Damien Hirst medication tableaux.

What biscuits were they?
Mustard over here with the hard hitting questions 😅. I would also like to know what biscuits she bought, and again I’d like to know where alL the food she got creating in the jazzy kitchen hen had disappeared to!

eta I’ve somehow put the word ‘hen’ on the end of kitchen. I’ll leave it though, as we’re on the Scottish leg of the jackanory tour.

My eldest did some critical thinking stuff in relation to news, social media, bloggers etc during media studies in year 9 (dropped it before GCSEs but maybe it would have been continued).

I agree with you, critical thinking skills are essential. Though in my experience, gen z have way better critical thinking skills than the older generation. My mum for example, believes everything she reads in the express or the daily fail *eye roll*

I've often thought that my history degree was more useful than it seemed at the time because of the massively increased need for critical thinking skills in a social media world. And you are right, this applies to all generations - plenty of boomers sharing memes and viral posts that don't stand up to much scrutiny on Facebook etc.

She's continuing with the colour/black & white grid theme (Instagram).

F U C K. O F F. She is nothing like a Glaswegian, anyone who has visited here will know that. This has got me fewwwwwming. Bugger off R Jackie and go home to your son!

Aye. Bolt hen.

Ah, so it's not actually Edinburgh which is 'home', it's Dishoon in Edinburgh. Hope they're paying you well for the #ad, Jack.
And there's a Dishoom at Kings Cross which would be far more convenient for 'home' feelings.
