On topic, Jack’s fuuuuucked and it’s hilarious. She must be livid at the moment that the grift is just kind of out there for people to see and share. And just to reiterate Jack as we know you lurk here, I don’t wish you any physical or mental harm, I just want the lying and manipulating you use to take money off of people to stop.
 
I keep wondering wtf is WRONG with her? She knew the expose was coming; she’s been ridiculed about the rinsed hoops; there’s been a substantial number of posts angry about the engagement rings… and yet she STILL posts the selfies with two grands worth of Tiffany in her ears, and a pair of Raybans on. I can’t get my head round it, it’s total self destruct.

@Veronicaaa made such a good point on the previous thread about reporters being so keen to write 'pieces' about how ghastly Tattle is, they never bothered to look into why a lot of posters here have huge issues with supposedly benign and loveable public figures.
We are all jealous, ugly and potentially dangerous stalkerish (usually) women.

If this is the slow demise of grifter Jack, it will be interesting if people start to think 'Hang on Tattle were right about Jack Monroe - who else might they be right about?'

Yes! And this is what we need to hold on to. Even if there's no major 'Jack Monroe's a massive con artist' headline in the next few weeks, at least some people will see that she's not what they thought and will keep their money or donate to a worthy cause.

I feel sorry for the woman who donated. Honestly, I was also naive and taken in by Jack before having my eyes opened.

Having it confirmed that Jack nonchalantly accepts "donations" of £200 is my aneurysm. I feel physically sickened by it. I know she has no shame but it's shocking to see it there in black and white.

She knows exactly what she is doing with those poverty begging blogs. I hope more high rolling squigs speak out.
 
I keep playing with the idea that molly is jack and she is trying to self sabotage, so she can do something else. Totally unfounded and made up under my baco foil hat.

However it does make me think why she is so quiet and not her usual LIBEL self despite having mr lawyer on speed dial. I just find it odd.

If it is fraud (probably is, aesthetics don’t come cheap) then couldn’t those who feel they’ve been a victim recharge their donations back to their bank accounts, you can with PayPal. Take it back, donate to a charity or put it aside for heating etc.

I struggle with this. People donated to patreon month after month, knowing they weren't getting the services described. They weren't getting anything other than the good feels. I don't see how they have a leg to stand on if they paid more than once. 🤷🤷 More fool them.

As someone said earlier I think this sorry saga would make a great podcast/documentary/long-form article. It says so much about how we (the media, politicians, the general population) all want poverty to look pretty. We’ll gloss over the dodgy origin story, financials & pathological attention-seeking as giving Jack £20 feels better than a) doing nothing b) seeking out a cause/person which would really benefit c) thinking about how our choices may have led us to this point as a nation. I believe Jack has done some good & highlighted issues, but she’s done more good for herself & that’s what is wrong. You can’t be a poverty campaigner on the one hand & then take money away from people poorer than you on the other.

I agree, I wonder if it's the sort of thing the news group called Tortoise might be interested in. I'm sure they've worked with her before 🤔🤔🤔

I've noticed a couple of odd things re the lawyer. I would have thought if he'd been involved in Fox/Daubney/Anderson gate, he'd have been keen to get a statement out or at the very least confirm he's made contact. They seem like the kind of people he'd be happy to take down, yet nothing. I also saw one of the single issue Jack accounts tag him in to some tweet and ask to get sued- maybe the kind of thing best ignored but as it wasn't a particularly damaging or interesting tweet, it would also be a chance to snarkily remind people of the great Hopkins victory. I think he's ignoring Jack. Even her lawyer can't stand her. Can it be long before her amazing team of paralegals fly the nest- as we know Jack never manages to retain her amazing teams.

Including leaving the PayPal link. Tweeting the blog with no mention of Trussell Trust. Watching retweets and money coming in/patreon numbers going up. Then a day or two later mention 'oh gosh I didn't expect that response to my lil blog. I don't want anything - please donate to TT' perfectly safe in the the knowledge people will continue to donate to her.
