Answering the question about whether she would have been paid by Oxfam. It‘s very unlikely, as they don’t normal pay ’celebs’ but they would have paid all relevant travel expenses, accommodation and any other directly incurred costs (what was that you were saying about those MPs‘ expenses Jack?). However the majority of Oxfam shops stocked one of her books (Bootstrap Cook, if I remember correctly) as part of their non-donated product range during the time she blogged about her trip for a couple of years, so I guess their was a mutual benefit in the relationship.
