Kier Starmer: Jack you were asked to write something for the manifesto about food prices, why haven’t you done it?

Right Hon Jack: it’s 300 pieces of A4 paper with important words on, I think I know more than you about A4 love

KS: but it needs to be emailed today

Right Hon Jack: I said A4 Kier A4

VBI lady has had the measure of Jack for a bit it would seem

As someone who's dissertation was very big on research, spreadsheets and big maths. The whole vbi actually pisses me off no end. Her whole approach to collecting, using and presenting data is not it.

Also, given that the whole project is apparently focused around supermarket food prices it's a conflict of interest for Asda to be in any way directly involved with it.
It also gives them an unfair market advantage over the other 3 of the big 4, because they'll have access to all this info quicker & easier. So the project will itself disadvantage everyone whose most accessible supermarket isn't Asda. Congrats hun Jack.

I don't believe that the VBI will ever materialise but if it does then the ethics around how it's been developed are appalling.

Vegetable peelings in the freezer until you can make stock from it all?! duck me, how much is a box of veg stock cubes in Lidl? About 20-30p I expect (this is not because I’m so rich that I’m out of touch, I just never buy it!). Imagine the sadness of pulling out a year-old frozen box of peelings and boiling it all into brown water.
