Interesting article in the Mail: ;)
https://www.12ft.io/https://www.dai...res-identify-narcissist-according-expert.html

Selecting a couple of quotes at random:
"grandiose sense of self-importance and the belief that you are special."
"people who exhibit narcissistic traits might tell their sob story on repeat, to anyone that will listen, in order to gain validation and the hope someone will care for them."
They were talking narcissists on QI last night, and apparently if you ask a narcissist if they are one they will say yes. They don’t see it as a negative

Never would I ever...
Tell Jack Monroe something confidential. She's so volatile, you just know she'd shout her mouth off whenever it suited her, just to be spiteful or to win an argument with a stranger online.

She's a wanker. Does she expect the schools to ensure a place for every single pupil, knowing full well many won't be able to attend because they'll be staying with relatives/on holiday/spending quality time with a parent/doing other things/at home with covid? She's so short sighted it hurts.
This is Jack to a T. She doesn’t have the brain capacity to see the complexity of the situation.

🔺 Used to work a few moons ago for a youth charity that provided free activities across 2 London boroughs. We also did a programme for those who qualified for FSM - lots of barriers to overcome for attendance. We used to spend a lot of time ringing people who had registered to ensure they attended (to be fair this was across all programmes). There were also cultural barriers to overcome alongside the stigma side (from parental view point) of things let alone those children feeling singled out/grouped together as opposed to integrated with all of their peers. Yes, location and transport was another barrier but it wasn’t the only thing. There were multiple things at play - all presented varying challenges/required consideration.

Sorry have lost my thread slightly - but the answer to resolving the issues is complex and isn’t as straightforward as Jack presumes. Jack screaming into the abyss her echo chamber doesn’t help. Neither does her pov cosplay when all it does is scaremonger and potentially put families off registering/attending.

Does Jack want school dinners available 52 weeks a year? That’s just… not possible. I know poverty is a very real thing but when did the onus fall to the state to feed children during holidays? And where do we then draw the line? Giving everyone a state funded food allowance year round to cover breakfasts and dinners too? What does she want?!

One thing is for certain, SB will be wishing with all the will in the world he was at a holiday club and not at home with the snark monster.

You can guarantee she’s kicking off as she has to pay to send SB there and his mamapapa being a poor little urchin he should be going for free.
Bet he’s hardly even seen her. Probably just been on his Xbox that he doesn’t have on the TV he doesn’t have using the internet they don’t have. And I bet that pebble polishing machine has been well and truly turned off. Not long until you can go home SB.

When Jack was making the poo pudding, that was somehow connected to an activity club providing food and day activities in the school holidays. I remember asking about how it was funded and a kind frau here obliged with an explanation. It was based on the same concept of providing food instead of vouchers. I remember it being a complex issue, with pros and cons. I don't think it was a million miles away from what Jack appears to be objecting to here.

ETA I am unclear if Jack is pointing out that if a child qualifies for FSM and does not get a place on this scheme, there is no provision at all.

I remember reading about a couple from Sheffield who won the Lottery or a substantial amount (can't remember which). Once they had got themselves and family sorted out they then set about looking after their community mainly the kiddies from deprived areas. Pantomine tickets, days out at the seaside, day trips etc. Travel, food and a little bit of spending money. They really thought about what was needed and how they could help. This is far more effective in my view than Jacksie's posturing poverty cos play.

Yes but Jack was getting paid for that so it's Ok. See also Del Monte death squads.

This happened in Scotland too. Once they had won, the couple used their massive win to help others, including children in England awaiting medical equipment and surgery. They did it on the quiet too.

Asda have decided to axe their new smartprice range after the legal challenge from Waitrose. I wonder what Jack will make of that! It will be Snarkright or duck all from Jack.

she'll mention it once she's caught up here.
