the language Jack uses in potatoes is appalling…. Reminds me of those books from the late 90’s early 2000’s ‘child called it’ and others. Basically just misery porn. I notice she doesn’t write one herself but that’s probably as too many people would point out the lies if she tried to write a book claiming a crap childhood.

Most of those books ended up being either outright fiction, what TV Tropes calls "Based on a Great Big Lie" or "Very Loosely Based on a True Story"
