Jack has been to Conference again! Not that you’d know it from her SM as it was the Tory one. She also sniffed and swallowed her way to GMB in the depths of midwinter (6th Oct) to disingenuously talk about baskets of food before she had to hoof it to her (low paid) job and then off to collect SB from nursery/school, as he has been both a toddler and a teenager today. As impressive as his Mama. A twitter thread followed with some rebuttals to the honestly hideous comments on the GMB appearance. She truly is the saviour of the Poors.

Congrats on the job, Jack. Pay your taxes.

1. I think her ‘part-time low paid job’ is Jack being tricksy with words. She thinks she is a single mum 1/2 the time and a journo/campaigner/twit/cook/insert whatever the f*** you want the rest. Because her pay for these gigs has massively dropped off in recent months she now thinks she is low paid. Compared to the PM? Yes. Compared to society in general? No effing way.

2. As said upthread she cannot comment on Mrs Rish Mate’s dubious furlough activities when she is taking patreon payments from squigs with nothing to show for them and failing to pay her taxes. She is a duplicitous bottom feeder.

3. Her claims that she has gone to the CPC are absolutely abhorrent. Anyone who cares about society at all wouldn’t be seen dead near that guffawing set of inbeciles. They are singlehandedly ruining our country. She wasn’t shouting, they weren’t scared. Her morals went the same way as her cooking ability circa 2018.

4. If she wants to see what living on UC is like (rather than swanning around in £90 leggings in a house filled with furniture costing a thousand pounds apiece) she should come and work in my charity shop. I see what food shopping people buy, what people actually spend their money on and what they donate when things no longer fit or are of use. She is out of touch, a liar and fits whatever shape is needed depending on the monetary handout.

5. I don’t need the granola. She can keep it. I would rather she went and became the proper #youngtory like she actually is because I have heard they are low in number at the moment.

I agree many on universal credit work, they work the maximum allowed before it affects their benefit. They refuse to work more hours because it then starts to impact and for every £1 over £293 (or £515 if you do not claim for housing) you earn, you lose 67p.

So you can earn £293 and still claim full UC. Once again it is the detail that Jack lacks understanding in. It is the 67p taper that is the killer. It would be much fairer if it were 50p, at least then you wouldn't think you were working for next to nothing.

Glad she’s deleted this as it’s an incredibly strange conflation, given that disabled people didn’t receive any uplift in payments. This is yet another reason why she’s a terrible campaigner: people can only hold one issue in their heads. Disabled people are, and always have been, shat on from a great height by those in power, but that wasn’t what this was about? It was about food poverty, and her main point was that the uplift must remain to alleviate further food poverty. Flailing around wildly to find numbers of dead disabled people attributed to cuts appears tendentious and is going to lose at least half of the people in that room.

Honestly, what is the point of her? I really want to know who nominated her for her fake doctorates because if I made such a tangential point as a finishing flourish to an argument I was trying to make my supervisor would come around to my house to slap me in person. It pains me how many smart, empathetic, articulate people with genuine tales of poverty are overlooked constantly for her Citizen Smith nonsense.

Completely - she just wants a viral thread from which she’ll get more paid media work, and JOB has basically guaranteed her that. Maybe she’ll be on LBC tomorrow, what joy!

The thread says nothing new or revolutionary, we’ve read these tweets a million times by the same centre left Twitter mouth pieces. A lot of the comments under the video were trash but a few were from low income working people who are worried about themselves / have no class solidarity tbf so wouldn’t it be more effective and something new to speak on that? Things are really quite bad for a lot of people right now, including those who’ve always had it alright, there’s a lot to be working on beyond the standard Twitter hyperbole suggesting genocide…?
