I bet your 11 year old could cook anything better than Jack! (Not a hard bar, I know).
She likes eating, which probably helps. I really don't think Jack does.

She wasn't on my radar in Allegra days - was she as annoying then?
She was building the persona then. There was hints, and thanks to the cabal sleuths, a LOT of lies, but she definitely got much worse post Allegra.

There were a lot of hospital visits in the allegra years.

I sometimes write out recipes for my kids. It's much harder than it looks, right. This is Risotto for my daughter to make aged about 10.

Uh oh.
This Morning are doing a bit on GBBO. They've got three previous winners on, all with books out in time for Christmas.
Nancy is doing a Green one. Making cleaning products from scratch and basically getting all up in Jack's niche.
Do you think Jack will go on to flog her book when it eventually gets released?*

*at this point it could be any of her Threatened Promised books.

I am going to be honest here. What else can she bring to the table?

Shes done tins, shes done slop, shes done more slop.

These current up and coming chef/ cooks are producing some wonderful recipies that are simple and lost cost, i just dont know what else she can produce.

In the very early days Jack did a column in the Guardian, it was basically her week's meals on a £10 budget. It started with a shopping list, things like a roast chicken, potatoes, carrots and rice etc along with stock cubes and some store cupboard items. The advice was along the lines of roast your chicken, eat with spuds and carrots and use leftovers in various ways. It was really straightforward budget cooking, it seemed like she was genuinely setting a budget and cooking edible food. It's how I first heard of her and I thought she was quite a reasonable cook. Then of course she grew the Jack Monroe persona and it all became unbearable, so yes, I'd say she got a lot worse post Allegra, even worse than how she was developing whilst she was with Allegra. Jack must have realised how much the poverty story pays

Jack is definitely all up in Nancy's niche with Clean and Green. Nancy follows Jack and is quite supportive towards her but she is really lovely and infinitely more talented in both cooking and cleaning and writing about it than Jack.

Love the recipes from the parents in the cabal. You'd think with Jack's puppy brain she'd understand the need for simple, clear instructions but I guess her need to be a patronising 'expert' overrides that. Reminds me of a GCSE-level essay where you're trying to pad the word count out and make yourself sound smart.

Olive oil is a storecupboard stable wherein olives are processed for their oil to provide a suitable emulsion ingredient for dressings, cooking, drizzles, and food preparation. It is considered a vital ingredient in every kitchen and has a multitude of uses.
