Tom Kerridge's Chicken Pie looks a bit nice. Might give that a go at some point!
That’s it though, hey. All the Full Time Meals recipes look doable, uncomplicated, affordable and edible. Without even joking, the stuff that Jack suggests as ‘recipes’, especially all the disgusting Del Monte things aren’t even comparable in terms of appeal 😂 It’s a ruddy joke that she’s even talked of in the same breath.

Found this on the tube whilst non-mendaciously browsing for something else

She just sounds like Phil Daniels to me in this.

🎶

“I used to use olive oil quite a lot in my cooking
back when I had oil to burn”
PARKLIFE!

“When I first started making risotto dishes on my blog
I was using normal long grain rice”
PARKLIFE!

“To me sweet potatoes are a tragic food
I don’t eat too much of them because they make me sad”
PARKLIFE!

“Tragedy mash is what I have for myself
when I’ve had a tragic day”
PARKLIFE!

It's an insult to all the #actuallytalented people who work so hard on projects like this. Then you've got old entitled lazy bollocks swanning in with her ego, taking some of the credit for doing sweet FA.

Even the ridiculous, disgusting ideas for recipes she does come up with, don't even work as she can't write a damn recipe! Yet she has cookbooks in print... 🤦

Fraus, in perusing Jack's vegan archive in search of chaos I have found another point of intersection between Jack and me - we both enjoy Mr Vikki's Banana Habanero Chutney. Am I Jack? (No - it's taken my household since Christmas to eat 1.5 jars, and Jack and LJC scarfed 2 jars in a weekend  a feat that I doubt could be accomplished by anyone with tastebuds)

I'm now considering making a Tinned Pear Cake 36p ,although it calls for applesauce which is not in my plant based wheelhouse.

The 'tragedy mash', is potato and sweet potato mashed with chilli and cheese. I must've skipped the actual instructions when I made it, because she mashes her potatoes whilst they're still wet, and uses no salt or anything.
Jack really does hate food. For me how they perceive that people on low incomes don’t have the right to anything with taste or texture.

Yeah, I'd love to do a hilarity but I couldn't actually waste a whole pack of vege mince. The pear cake might be ok - I've never used that method before but 175g flour to 200ml plant milk to a tin of pears is giving me scuffin vibes.

What I do like about the recipe is that Jack freely admits to sitting around staring at cans trying to think of recipes, and to typing it up before trying it properly.

Half sweet potato, half floury potato mash made up with butter, creamy milk, a good Cheddar, red Leicester or Cheshire cheese and optional chilli flakes, possibly with a tin of beans and sausage chucked over it, sounds like the ultimate British slightly middle-classified corona-times comfort food. You can imagine Nigella saying things like 'nursery food' and winking to camera as she sprinkles the chilli flakes out.
Or, in an alternate universe, Jack smirking and making it completely wrong, throwing in squares of burger cheese, nearly shaving a mucky finger off with the peeler, warbling on about how terrible it is and really only for eating if you're destitute or not very good at cooking.
