Can we talk about this "ambient bath lantern" (what) please?

View attachment 445479 q

So first up, it obviously looks tit. My mum has kept an embarrassing collection of misshapen lumps from my childhood pottery classes, and this would be right at home among them.

Secondly, the edges of those holes are probably sharp and jagged, given the way she's made them. So it's dangerous.

Thirdly, if it gets HOT when you are "handing" (sic) it, that's because it's not fit for purpose you utter loon. It's a hazard! There's a reason we don't generally put candles inside metal tins, and even I - someone whose fire service experience consists of two Tinder dates with firemen - know it.

WTF Jack, this is a new low! Come back lingreenie, all is forgiven...
I don't think Jack l knows what ambient lighting is.

FRICKING EVA GREEN???? Hahahahaha. Literally no one has ever said that to her I can guarantee.
So, can I just check....this is Eva Green then, yes?

Oh can we, pleeeease!

Wonder if Smolrobot thinks his disappointing sales are due to a connection with JM and the bullying ninnies? Sorry, not that simple.
The thing is I don't know about anyone else but most people I know havent been wasting their money on shite as we don't know how everything will go after restrictions are lifted. So if the bloke isnt selling it is because not many people are a need for a picture of a random robot.

Now correct me if I'm wrong if any of that is seen as mean or unfair?!

When we chat at home about winning the Euro millions 🤣 we don’t talk about the pad on the French Riviera or Barbados. We’ll buy a house on the coast in Pembroke or Northumberland because we love the beach and seasons all year round.

Living on the coast is one of my lifelong dreams , I’d be there every day if I could.

She’s so unaware of how well she lives it’s nauseating.

I was born in Northumberland and you could (just) see the sea from our house. I spent so many joyous weekends and holidays on that North Sea coast. In winter the sea is grey and wild and forbidding...and I love it! ❤ There's nothing like the smell of the sea. Miss it every day but go back as often as possible (oh yeah, and to visit parents). You know dogs on the beach, when they run madly along the water's edge and dodge the waves, in and out? That's me that is. :ROFLMAO:

We love Northumberland. We were booked at Seahouses last Easter and still hope to get there this year but we know it’s unlikely.

We love it; the sea, beaches and walks , all year round, I could cry thinking about it ( soppy date I am) it’s our favourite place but where we live 🔺it’s a 5 hour drive on a good day with one loo stop.

Sorry for the outburst , Jack should appreciate the surroundings she has.

Last year our lockdown - which didn't include any kind of outdoor exercise - was utter hell. I moved last May and now live 600m from the sea. I'm WFH at the moment, so I make sure I'm outside for at least 2 hours a day. A lot of that is spent walking along the coast.

If I didn't do it, I'd really suffer, as I know well from last year's lockdown. Jack is very very lucky to live where she does, and should try going for a walk instead of going on Twitter sometime!

(PS walking for 2 hours a day is about 14.000 steps. #NotAMaverick here, I'm afraid)

Oooh where are you from?

Me and my boyfriend went to Northumberland back in October. I think if I didn't live down south that I would want to live there. We went to Alnmouth which has pretty much had my heart since I went there as a 16 year old. Beautiful part of the world.

This, and all the other posts about the sea are so true. I hadn’t even realised how much I‘ve been missing it until now! It’s sea air, and the sound of gulls for me, and that dark wildness of it all in the winter, yes!

On topic, it would be one thing if Mackie had just said we’re sad losers with nothing better to do, I mean sometimes I do feel sad, who doesn’t, and yep, like a lot of people, not as much going on in my life as usual at the moment. It’s nothing to be ashamed of or proud of, it just is what it is.
I just cant get over her using “addicts” as an insult though, bleeping hell, even for her that’s low. I hope it goes without saying, but I would never judge anyone for addiction issues, if anything, the more I learn (including from so many wonderful people here) the more empathy and admiration I have.
