Anyone else having trouble focusing today? I worked 7 to 12 but now my brain is away with the faeries. Working from home isn't even in the same league as front line work and I am very lucky but tough one today.

I made a veggie curry this afternoon and pottered in the kitchen. Feeling quite chilled until I read the tip jar tweet and the desti-bloody-tution! I once had to go through a pile like that when I worked in Housing. Unpaid utility bills on untenanted properties. Most of them were duplicates; one only needs the latest copy most of the time rather every single month's. I expect that that pile is similar.

The vast majority of the paperwork received over the 6 years she has claimed not to have opened her post will be junk, I'm assuming her fuel and council tax bills have been paid otherwise she would be in deep trouble and if the phone bills or internet were not paid then they would just get cut off.

She has also said she only has a basic bank account because her credit was is bad so there will be no credit agreements to deal with.

That could be any old tit. Not necessarily bills. Optician reminders, flyers, bank statements etc. I've never known bills to come in purple envelopes.

Jack, babes, let me introduce you to this new and exciting thing called a direct debit. You set it up once and your smol maverick brain never has to deal with the payments again. I only have to manually pay one bill a month for my childcare. I'm pretty sure a lot of companies charge you extra if you don't pay by direct debits nowadays. I know BT put in a sneaky service charge for paying by card.
