But exactly how big are they? We rarely see her food adjacent to anything that allows you to get a sense of size (Oooh matron). When she does put a spoon in, it looks like a teaspoon, or if it is other (dirty) cutlery we see how tiny the portions are.

Those buns could be the size of a 50p piece for all we know.

And it's a thing many people do or did anyway. I grew up seeing my mother do this. I'm half-expecting 'use a knife to spread butter on your piping hot slice of brick' as the next jack hack! (I also thought we left 'life hacks' as a thing to mention or write about in in 2014. There is only so much to write about re-using rubber bands from your basil buch, right?)
