Why would he unfollow? Surely they are allowed to still support there old team. I did feel in the interview he did yesterday that they were trying to make him say stuff about villa and he didn’t seem comfortable. Man City aren’t his dream he would have left for any club in the champions league and I know he has to give them his all but he is a lifelong fan. Don’t make me get the ick Jack .
 
I'm really hoping this is some PR idiot misadvising him. Looking at some of the more genuine/heartfelt tweets from Villa fans it is really sad how let down a lot of people feel :( he/his PR could handle this a lot better. Literally no need to unfollow, his situation surely counts as the exception where it's OK to follow your previous club.

My husband didn’t have any idea until my friend got me a Jack Grealish mug last week. I thought the sudden interest in sex would have been a give away, but seemingly not🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 I am still reading the threads in the bathroom like I am up to no good and muffling my laughter…he just doesn’t get it😂

The actual real Villa fans wish him well and I know grown men have cried at him leaving which sounds so ridiculous but unless you’ve been there throughout his journey nobody can understand what he meant to the club. His Dad still sat in the stands for a long time before moving into a box they were well known as a family and admired by so many this came as a massive upset to villa . Not all villa fans are dicks and slagging him off us real fans wish him well but it still stings how it was done.

I was checking a couple of the City players instas and some of them still follow their previous clubs, so at this point I don't think the club forced him to unfollow Villa. I don't know if it was him or his PR team, but this is poor, really hoping for the latter because if not he needs to think before acting. I know he has received abuse from part of the supporters, but I've seen a lot of messages of fans wishing him well and saying he will always be one of them.
This must feel like a knife in their backs, I know it would be like that if a home-grown talent decided to leave my club and act like that.

The thing is you will always get some hate off the fans regardless of the service you have given that’s just the mentality of some fan base and Jack knowing Villa like he does knows that was going to happen he also knows the majority of the fans wish him well the news reporters choose to only show the hateful comments though because it’s a better story. They don’t show the 9 year old boy crying because his hero has left they would rather show a moron burning a shirt.
