I have gathered from general internet commentary on confidence that you’re only allowed to go on like that if you’re not traditionally conventionally good looking. If you’re conventionally good looking and go on like that with the posing you’re mad about yourself, if you aren’t and go on like that it’s ‘Omg yaaaas queen love your confidence 😍😍😍 ❤️‘

Don’t get me wrong I get it can be cringey when someone is eye bleeping themselves but that a high level of confidence only seems to bother people when it’s coming off someone conventionally attractive and slim. I say that as someone who isn’t very slim anymore, I’ve seen both sides of it 😂

We spend enough time hating ourselves like, I’ll allow it 😂 obviously there’s a middle ground but we’d be better off with everyone confident

100% Yes - This infuriates me.
Take the likes of Lizzo - when she poses in a bikini and twerks, she is applauded. She does not fit the typical mould of what is attractive.
However, when the likes of Emily Rata or a Kardashian etc do this they are criticised. Total double standard.

Each to their own. I'm not talking about her thinking she's gorgeous or having confidence. I mean every two seconds oh look at my hair oh I have a grey oh did you see the way my hand moved there look at my this or that etc, it comes across a bit self obsessed & I just personally think there's more to life than being obsessed with how you look and every small thing. Focus on the bigger things. She looks great and being confident there is absolutely nothing wrong with.

No need to be defensive, I'm not slating the girl or anyone who is confident for that matter.

I don't think that poster was being defensive at all
 
Self confidence is one thing, self obsession is another. J is definitely self obsessed. She talks about herself in a totally obsessive way as if she doesn’t have much else going on at all. I remember one vlog where she was discussing at length one of her teeth being slightly toward after the invisilgn. I remember another live on I galz where she was discussing the length of her nose in detail. L was just starting at her clearly bored out of her mind.

Vlogs are people talking bout themselves…so im not really seeing your point.

Thank you. This is exactly what I meant. Huge difference in confidence and self obsession. We all have insecurities but if you've that much time to zone in and focus and harp on about every small little detail (a different one every few minutes) then I think that equates to having a little too much time on your hands. As I said in my original post J is very pretty and has every right to be confident regardless of looks :) but I stand by what I said.
