Yep I was going to say the same! With even a small bit of research, you can find that there's no scientific evidence that consuming placenta in any form has health benefits and as you said, actually can be potentially harmful. Even after preparation, the pills can be infected with bacteria and viruses that were in the placenta that can then be passed to the baby through breastmilk. The reported benefits are, in my mind, all just a placebo effect. It's also unregulated.
We were discussing this just in general today at work, a group of 6/7 woman, both mothers and not mothers, and we all said the same thing, it’s a bloody joke! Preying on women who think that they’re getting all these amazing health benefits when they’re running the risk of unknown side effects. A normal multivitamin would do the same if not more than these capsules. The cost of it alone outside of cork is crazy, babies are expensive enough without paying a minimum of €240 for a glorified iron tablet
