I like the dress but she just can-not accesorize! The shoes, the jewellery, the hair and make up is all wrong!
Agree. The dress is good for her (a low bar, I know), but her styling ruins it. Minimal make up or just a strong dark lip, sleek hair and just one statement cuff would have rounded it out way better imho.
She tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end…

watching Tamara’s nyfw vlog now - and the main thing that stood out - must be such a shade to Vic & also lessons she shd learn (not that she will).

she stayed in a downtown hotel that is in the midst of the shows, some are within walking distance. She kept harping on the location and how she is early to arrive and “no running” lol

She probably hasn't learned anything from that fallacy of a PhD*. Her university needed to build their rooster for their newish department and they scouted her. She has done no research, no long internships, she didn't slave away for minimal wage. Also, the fact that she knows that most PhD owners have a master degree and she skirt over it to give her a little more prestige really irks me. That's what she does for everything: she's the face of A campaign, not the face of a perfume; she's THE only British influencer there when she's not; her apartment is SO unique when it literally looks like any Manchester apartment I've ever seen; she's so sensitive and such a good person and has a heart of gold, when she's a basic witch with a passive agressive and a victim mentality.

* I read her dissertation or whatever it's called in England, and didn't learn anything I didn't already know about retail or logistics

I think her ego plays a role. I mean the tik toks show she was indulging herself outside the CH show getting her photo taken when someone shouted ‘the show has started’ and only then she ran!
Alex and Rebecca were there so why aren’t they holding her to account and saying get inside now?? Probably because they are too scared to direct her. And then standing in the street after the incident you could tell they were waiting to see what Vicky wanted to do next.

I don’t follow Tamara and I don’t think Leonie vlogs so not sure how much we know, but my impression is they both have bigger teams. Probably someone to lead on styling specifically and then maybe a PA to book everything and plan the schedule, then content people to edit and manage socials. I imagine their schedules are much more pinned down and the team is basically organising so they get places on time and get the content.
Whereas Vick is busy bleeping about doing 40min vlogs and room tours. It’s just unprofessional. No point going to shows if you aren’t going to take it seriously. I personally think Vicky would be a nightmare know-it-all to work for and that’s why she’s basically got a team of her husband and best mate aka yes people. She’s admitted she is a control freak before.
Whereas to be successful you need a team of the right skills. So if you know you are bad with time get a PA that will literally shout and order you about. But Vicky’s ego couldn’t allow for that.

I agree, I’m in my internship for my Master’s (Psychology) and tbh, we are doing a lot for little pay. We served free for an adult therapy center, and did a huge chunk of data mining for a longitudinal study, and I still work full time. I know a lot of people enter higher study for the clout, and Victoria is very well one of them.

If she had really looked into fashion, textiles and market trends, which is her PhD, she could shift her channel like Haute le Mode, who can discuss trends and like Sophie Shohet who can look at fashion and how it affects marketing and economics.

Instead, she leaned on Gleam on all their connections to gift her a career. Afterwards, she had the gall to leave Gleam and was arrogant to think she was this A++ influencer. Instead, Covid sunk her career, revealing to all who she really is.

Why does she have ZERO content up from the BAFTAs???? She has one job, which is posting content. So lame.
This to me is really her weakest point. It’s unbelievable that literally EVERYONE (even REAL celebs) manage to get their content up on time, but not our Vic. And we’re not talking about vlogs that need editing here, no, just a simple picture of her outfit she cannot manage. It’s ridiculous. Especially on a night like the BAFTAs where everyone knows it’s happening. It’s not bc her team is not big enough it’s bc she’s an insecure loser who needs 2 days to photoshop her images

Aside from (I assume) the lack of ad disclosure, this is how you fashion week
