Imo has a house update for us…

Am I missing something here, what is the update? The house looks the exact same mess, an update is when you show progress. This is no progress. 🏚

In the Q&A when Spencer says he’s quitting being a barber he says they’re planning to isolate and “see less people” - they barely see anyone now!
Also when she goes to tell the weird story about Ben Salad offering to pick up huns that break down Spencer interrupts to tell the story so it’s clearly all rehearsed. I’d love to see their planning notes for the videos “one anxiety breakdown (due to nesting?), say we’re grateful to even have a house…must mention Ben being caring somehow”

I’m starting to get the feels this renovation starting ‘so late’ is because they always planned to live with one of IMO’s parents when the baby first arrives anyway. If her parents constantly renovated like she says then surely she was aware of timescales as she grew up around them. I just don’t buy the ‘it takes ages for permission and the baby was a surprise’ they could have got all the planning permission and delayed the work until babyGIRL was here.
Potentially an answer for the midwife too as they won’t be bringing the baby home (Not that we’d ever find out if any concerns were raised).
I think it’s likely they’ll need the support so I hope they’re sensible and don’t take a newborn in to this mess of a house.

Was about to comment this after catching up on the thread, feel like this was all intentional so they get the extra help

I don’t get how the baby could be a surprise…. If you’re not using contraception what do
You expect to happen?? If you had plans to renovate a whole house why would you stop using contraception??? If she grew up in renovations then you’d know how stressful it is going to be so why would you put that pressure on yourself? And risk any harm to your baby??? They literally can’t project manage anything lol. I wonder if this whole salad is so nice he’d offer to pick up the huns narrative is because they’ve been reading here and seen the aggressive way he talks to Hugo in that TikTok?? 🤔

You can tell that Imogen is definitely the dominant one in the relationship. Spencer seems to agree to everything she says and goes a long with it. Imogen’s controlling behaviour is definitely becoming more apparent. They don’t act like a normal couple, it’s as if Spencer is almost scared of her.

I also hate when imo interrupts spenny from a convo it’s sooo rude. In her new video at 24:43 she buys straigh into his conversation!

Surely her midwife or health visitor will be enquiring about where they shall be living when her baby girl is born? Theres no way they will say it is safe for them to be raising an baby in the utter state of that house. Best thing for them to do, would be to let a house for six months. Get some proper builders in that aren’t as gormless as Spencer!
exactly I was saying much same last thread that's even a social care issue

I agree with you all, I reckon the plan was to always move in with her parents. Let’s face it, she needs everybody’s attention to be on her, so it makes sense. Fact is though, it makes everyone question her responsibilities and abilities as a prospective parent to play out this narrative of living in effectively a building site and moaning constantly about dust and that she is unable to nest. 🙄 My priority would be my unborn child and my own health at this point.

Surely, if you are in a position to renovate your house you would be in a position to not rush the work and just move in somewhere for a short let. But no she has to have added drama to everything then make faux apologies for how grateful she is so she doesn’t piss off her huns.

I have to say, my partner and I are in the process of buying a house that needs some work doing to it (the current owner is an old lady who went into a care home so it's dated and will need a new kitchen and a new bathroom) and I used to love the idea of doing it up one room at the time, when funds become available... However seeing Spenny and Imo in their mess of a building site is making me question our purchase 🤣 😭
