My son has ADHD and would present very much like Sam - he gets very hyped and can be extreme in his emotions, however he is a very deep thinker so if something like the letters was happening he would very likely get quiet and still because his brain is working so hard to process all the information and emotions and hold concentration.

I get the ADHD can be annoying opinion however although ADHD means reading the room can be difficult, it doesn't make people idiots, I would say Sam knew that that was a time for quiet reflection - he mightn't even have been able to listen and concentrate the whole time but he seems kind so he knew that he needed to be silent.

I know horse racing isn't everyone's cup of tea for obvious reasons so this isn't about the rights or wrongs of it, but Frankie really does seem a decent sort. He has bought several racehorses he used to ride to give them a good home when they retired.
I know someone that worked as a groom and met him several times and they have nothing but respect and a good word for him.
