I don't think Sam was game-playing. I think he is a massive team player, paired up with being a people pleaser and the Tony factor helped too. The FOMO aspect mentioned above also came into play.

I like Sam but this is why he shouldn't have been voted leader, he is easily overwhelmed and hates the thought of hurting anyone's feelings which he is inevitably going to do because he can be a bit rash and thoughtless. Probably afraid he made sense whatever he was saying!! We are closer than we are far apart, I don't agree with Nigel, didn't agree with England's choice in Brexit but at the end of the day it was the choice that was made and we shouldn't seek to silence peoples voices simply because we'd don't agree with them!

You don't understand ADHD. He will have put himself forward because it's easier than directing someone and making decisions. He won't want to offend anyone under any circumstances so volunteering takes the risk of that away.
