It really isn't. Google it. You even need one if you are using Amazon Prime.

Only for live events on Amazon like sports, which is quite frankly ridiculous.

I usually am a bit of a stickler for rules, but I really don't see anything wrong with watching this live without a tv license seeing as the number of ads they have and how much itv makes from it. Highly unlikely you'd ever be caught.
