All I ever think about are her poor boys. Taken out once in a blue moon when she can beg the money off buy me a coffee but otherwise just sitting there while their pissed up mother argues with strangers online all day and shares every tiny, intimate, should-be-private detail about their lives for money and a scrap of attention. No privacy, no hope, no motivation. Nothing to ever look forward to or strive for because of her Mumchausans. Absolutely awful life she is giving those poor babies and what’s worse, she’s PROUD of it.

And therein lies the problem. Even the best, most accomplished people on earth can identify ways they could be a better person. None of us are perfect, but she'd change nothing about herself. Not one thing, when her life is pissed away on Twitter, her kids are ignored, she has no hobbies, few friends, no family, has never had a job, picks a fight with 95% of the people she comes into contact with... but she'd change NOTHING.

OK then.

I also have ADHD and I'd rather lazy cunts like her weren't making neurodiverse people look bad. Some of us work really bleeping hard to manage our symptoms and participate in and contribute to society.

Okay, I might just be very tired and not fully comprehending what she’s saying here but is it not: “My friend’s daughter has ADHD. I feel like as a child I was similar to her but now I’m not. As a kid I would have scored for Autism and ADHD but as an adult I definitely don’t. I’m going to get assessed anyway just for kicks.”

It doesn’t work like that, Sarah luv. If your doctor agrees there’s enough evidence (historically) of a potential diagnosis they can refer, but even then it’s gotta go through a triage team, and even if it’s accepted they will take years to assess.

What’s the point in her being assessed if she doesn’t think she meets the criteria anyway? And even if she did meet the criteria, what use is a label? It’s not like it will help her get reasonable adjustments in the workplace. It’s not like she’d use it to access support and try and better herself. It’s futile.

ETA: The penny just dropped. It would be for extra benefits and grift scope, wouldn’t it?
