I was just about to ask if the tracker thing was a myth. If you already have the iPlayer can you delete it then? Or just not watch live tv?
There is definitely no tracker. You don't have to delete your iPlayer app whether on smart TV or device, it's only if you sign in to it then they will know.
Any live TV watching be unlawful, however, that wouldn't be detected so you could still watch live as you don't have to sign in to anything to watch it. There are many people who don't pay the license and watch TV, just make sure the screen isn't visible through your front window

He could enter a plea at this stage, if he pleads guilty and doesn't go to a trial, then he could potentially reduce his eventual sentence.
He might want to take his chances with a jury trial, depends on the evidence that the Police/CPS have. I guess we'll know more on Weds.

If he has any sense he’ll plead guilty and avoid the exposure of a trial - which could be set for a date months away couldn’t it?

Court listings for Wednesday would have been published today

this seems most likely why its come out today. Doesn’t explain why the police kept charges quiet all this time though.

Seeing his name on that court listing is so, I don’t even know what the word is. I’m not shocked today given what was reported last year, I guess just overall shocked and disappointed that Huw turned out to be this way. Never something I thought I would see.

I have the I player app built into my TV, but I haven't logged in since I stopped my license. Haven't watched I player in about 4 years, sometimes I'm tempted to try it, but definitely not worth the risk for a few old sitcoms 🤣

I know what you mean. I’ve seen it in the news but his name actually being listed is so strange.

Yes, totally. Solicitor/barrister will likely tell him this, but some people think they can persuade a jury and ignore the advice.

A trial would completely destroy him - publicity will lead to more victims coming forward, people who exhibit this type of offending behaviour normally have more to hide - it's rarely just one victim.

Mine is visible! 🤣 Remember there's absolutely no way they can prove you're not playing a dvd, streaming, YouTubing or even watching a humble VHS! Fu*k em!

My TV is visible through the window! I rarely watch BBC, but do you still have to pay if you watch C4/ITV. Probably a daft question, but someone's reply earlier confused me. I thought you only paid if you watched the BBC.
