I think it’s a bit of a mix.

BBC are apparently investigating again, since the police have said they can, so they won’t want to jeopardise that.

The Sun will stay silent until a decision is made about the TalkTV interview.

The Guardian I think will report bits as they come up, but nothing sensational.

I don’t think any big allegations will be reported - even if they are discovered - while HE is receiving mental health care, because he’s seen as one of their own.

The one thing I won’t be swayed on is that he is in a serious MH situation and his care need is not being exaggerated (If you were his wife, why would you?!) so for any big thing to come out now would be potentially dangerous.

I am curious to see what, if anything, more does come out.

I really hope the young person at the centre of the story is okay. I have no idea who they are but I keep thing about them.
I also believe he is having a serious mental health episode and I think the seriousness and tone of the statement implies that he may even have attempted. I don’t believe there’s some ulterior motive to him being in hospital. I take it at face value. That’s one thing I’d rather be plain wrong on than speculate.

I don’t mean to be hurtful in any way to you, it’s not about it not being true, yes it does happen. But if you cannot see how misogynistic that Tattler’s post is I honestly don’t know where to start and that is scary because I assume you are a woman?
Could you explain to me how it is as I’m as confused as the person you’re saying it to.

Im sure I said it before but if not I'll repeat myself. It matters that the right person is the person who is there for you at a time of need. If you're in a vulnerable position or need help, you assume those who are meant to help are going to do what's right, which is not always the case for sure.

Thank you for sharing anything with us to give people insight 💖
Thank you lovely 💕

I only agree with that quote,
I am a woman.
my dad was misogynistic, abusive, and the rest doesn’t have anything to do with here.
i Didn’t read to much into it to be honest as it doesn’t affect me. I’m a strong independent woman. I can’t change peoples views.
I can only control my behaviours and views no one else’s.
my hubby is very supportive and split life down the middle. I married the person who has the same views as me and respect as me. So the rest is other people’s problems not mine. ❤️

My kids are out of luck because it’s always me whose eaten the Nutella from the jar
🤣🤣🤣 snap that’s where they get it from (it’s the chocolate around the face but they swear they didn’t eat it) you been eating your own shite like or would that infact be Nutella 🤣🤣

MH issues can’t excuse what ME has done.

At a certain point he will be discharged from whichever facility he is in. He has bought time for sure, the PR team can figure out a strategy. HE has the cash to finance all this.

A documentary of this debacle should be made. The BBC is haunted by Yewtree / Savile. Let’s see them held accountable for their inactivity in HE’s case.

The guy’s mum is a Mama Bear! The message to her son is that she will fight for him. Can her son afford to hire a PR team? Check in to a medical facility for MH issues?

HE did nothing illegal. But I don’t want to watch him on TV knowing he bought sexual content to order from a 17 year old drug addict.

I agree with your points, I used to work for the BBC and IMO he's already gone, there is no way whatsoever they will voluntarily continue to employ him. At this point, they're probably desperately hoping he *has* done something unlawful so they can legit get shot.

However, he will be a member of the union and he has no doubt the very best of legal representation. They will ensure that the BBC is performing a duty of care over their employee during this time of a 'medical' crisis (which any form of substance or behaviour addiction or mental health issue counts as). In my experience, the BBC sends members of staff with addiction to private rehab and it used to be Clouds (many years ago).

Also of course goes without saying they must fully comply with all aspects of UK legislation when it comes to an employees need for healthcare treatment and sick leave.

At this point they have literally NO CHOICE but to keep employing him because they can't sack him on health grounds if the health grounds are treatable. Bet yer life they're now doing an investigation.

If indeed the parents are estranged from their (step)son and he is refuting the claims that’s sad. I wonder if HE offered him more money to stay quiet.

If the guy has a major drug addiction he loves the drugs more than anything.
Or, and this may be a bold take... the young person has refuted the claims as they aren't true. We already know the Sun are distancing themselves from the underage angle.

The one thing I'm finding fascinating is the approach of we must believe everything the parents says and the we must be heavily skeptical of the young persons stance seem to go hand in hand.

It seems lots of people have made their minds up that the young person *must* be catatonic, under the thumb or payed off all as gospel.

Yes any of those *could* be true, we don't know the true level of their circumstances. But equally they could be telling the truth. But its fascinating how people are far quicker to write off the 'victim' than a 3rd party.

This wasn't directly at you but it was just the latest iteration of some of these comments.
