I've never rated her or her character (and I may be entirely alone on this) but I'm totally on her side. Hollyoaks was until recently a very racy soap that often had the female cast take their clothes off onscreen. They seemed to encourage the actresses to do lads mag shoots and even used to have an annual Hollyoaks calendar with all the young sexy female cast in lingerie.

It wants to be a progressive soap now but has a problem with one of the actresses exercising bodily autonomy. Unless the material she posts is pornographic I don't see why they are all 'please think of the children'.

I happened to see her in passing a couple of years ago after the Soap Awards, she’s tall and stunning IRL but didn’t recognise her, and thought she was much older than me 😂 don’t know why she’s gone down this OF route, desperate times call for desperate measures eh? 😆
I only put 2+2 together and I’ve found a photo I took of her but it’s quite blurry in the dark… don’t think I’ll make any money out of it 😂

According to her IG she was posting “racy” pics on there so why not get paid for it. She did do a poll and the majority said go for it 😬. Apparently made £7k in the first week but is that going to be enough to cover the £120k a year she’ll be losing from HO? Or did she know her time was up soon - I mean what else can Mandy go thru 🤣

Onlyfans wasn't created specifically for porn and plenty of people including celebs use it for other things. People post pornographic content on twitter as well but no one says that soap stars can't have an twitter account.

I’m sure they could have an Instagram account if they’re posting their porn on Twitter 😉
 
Unpopular opinion but the difference between the calendar and only fans is there's clear boundarys with the calendar.

With only fans so many start posting underwear shots and before you know it they're posting really explicit content to keep the money coming in. I'm not saying it'll happen with this person, but it's a very common path.

So I can see why it presents a possible ongoing problem for the show. Most of the cast could probably make far more on onlyfans than through acting if they all got on it thanks to the fame that's come from the show.

I don't think it's as clear cut as someone wanting to take control of their own body and I can see why the show want to nip it before more started doing it.

I agree with you, they need to have a blanket agreement because if someone starts posting fairly tame shots and they allow it, then start with more pornographic images and they sacked the cast member, there would be uproar. With only fans there’s too many gray areas as to what is too much as they allow everything to be shown
 
I, for one think this is the best career move ever, she’s finally off our screens🤣 liked her in it years ago, but I was put off her when she went with Darren 😷
And Luke, he needs to get off our screen too. Also the sister, the son, the sons ex, better yet. Just blow the village up, start afresh😂

I agree, it's the grey areas that are the problem and it won't take long before it gets pretty murky. She'd have probably been fine if she moved it to Patreon or any other pay site that wasn't known for being 99% porn.

She's perfectly within her rights to go on onlyfans, and Hollyoaks are perfectly within their rights to say you can't do only fans and the show.

Edit: I had no idea it was Mandy, I still remember her as a young teen shaking a bucket pretending it was for sick Donkeys :LOL: I haven't watch the show since then.
